Ego at The Bull's Head, Horbury
Generally worth a visit, staff friendly and willing to discuss food and obliging regarding seating requirements. May be busy at weekends and sometimes rather short of staff at these times and weekday lunches. Not usually noisy even when quite full.Menues variable, vegetarian choices not always numerous but always good. Typically British in that they require an explanation to get a steak really 'rare' but happy to change if mistakes happen.

Excellent family meal for 16, food was great and the service was second to none. We were made to feel very welcome. The staff were friendly and attentive, made our annual get together a great afternoon. Thank you very much, we will be back.

Ego at The Bull's Head, Horbury
A friend and I visited for Sunday lunch. The food and drinks were really nice.The beef and veg were tasty and nicely cooked. My only criticisms would be that I'd like a bit more gravy and the Yorkshire pudding was a bit too well done for me. I had ice cream for dessert which was delicious.A real positive was that the person who served us was really lovely - very friendly, personable and attentive.

Good night of food and drink at the Ego!Overall we had a really nice evening. The food was incredible and the atmosphere of the main restaurant is perfect for a birthday meal;Reasons why it didn't quite get 5 stars from me:- service was good but not great, all evening there was a kind of tension between us and out waitress, hard to describe the reasons but there was something there.- the birthday offer is for buy one get one free but it's the cheapest meal. If only two people dined then this would be the second most expensive meal free (by default) however with 5 people it was the cheapest of the 5. In my opinion it should be the second most expensive as if we split the table into a 2 and a 3 then it would be that way- the toilets are disgusting, they really need to update them to be at the same standard as the rest of the restaurant. I just hope the kitchen matches the restaurant and not the toilets in the standards

Came for Sunday lunch, did not book but was happily welcomed even though the restaurant was very busy. We was taken to the table by the manager was explained there was a wait on food. Which was good to know. The waitress was very polite and working very hard. Only down fall was the Yorkshire pudding was over cooked. Atmosphere amazing there was an event on at the front of the restaurant who looked to be having a great time. It good to know you accommodated such large booking. Will be returning

We usually like to Dine at this Restaurant, but on this Occasion the Experience weren't as it should have been... The Service was Good, and the Young Man who served us was very chatty and obliging, nothing wrong there, but we both Ordered the Lemon Milanese and it tasted a little of chemical.. Now whether the Worktop and been cleaned and then the Chicken laid on the Work surface, I don't know, but my other half refused to eat it all.. In hindsight, I should have complained, but we have always liked coming here that we didn't want to get anyone into bother.. I suppose at the end of the day, Your paying for it, so you want it edible, but sadly it didn't taste too good, and that is why we gave it the Ratings we did.

Booked a table on a Saturday afternoon. All ways been very happy here in the past both with food and service. (The previous guys that had it running like clock work have either left or not on shift). Anyway, the food was lovely, but the service (by the manageress) left a lot to be desired. Ordered drinks at the bar (great selection)and we were shown to our table, but after around twenty minutes, I had to find the manageress to take our food order. She was joking around with a guy at the bar. (Could understand if busy but it was very quiet.) There was a table that hadn't been cleared the whole time we were there. The younger members of staff were great! When the bill came she'd overcharged for a glass of wine. It was rectified straight away. On this occasion the professionalism that we've been used to, in the past, just wasn't there. Rather dissapointing. Hopefully it was a one off.

Food was great , service was very slow and not very tentative , worth a visit though, a little on the expensive side for the meals offered
