Alexandra’s Africa Safaris
Alexandra gave us a wonderful , hands on personalised experience. She has a passion for what she does and it shows in the care and attention she devotes to our needs. We had a 7 day safari across three locations, it was a very small group and very personalised , the locations were great , we saw a huge range of things from safaris to caves ( with a few wine tastings thrown in) . The accommodation was excellent , and people were very friendly.Alexandra was extremely flexible, if the the timetable occasionally needed a little reshuffle it was done easily to ensure that we saw as much as we could . It really felt as if we had an attentive host rather than being on an organised event . She is also great fun to be with.It really was terrific and and gave me a real sense of South Africa - I look forward to returning

Alexandra’s Africa Safaris
We have just returned from 12 days in South Africa and Botswana where we were on the Alexandra’s Africa hosted Explorer 12 Safari and wow what an amazing holiday. We happen to come across this company while looking online and so glad we did. We chose the Explorer 12 as it included a trip to a camp in Botswana as well as staying at three other lodges/camps in Northern South Africa. We have been on a number of safaris throughout Southern Africa and this was most definitely the best. We stayed in four lodges/camps two of which were tented something we have always wanted to do. All were set in fabulous locations, with outstanding staff, food to die for and knowledgeable local guides although we all admitted that the Koro Island Camp set in the middle of the Limpopo River in Botswana was our favourite. Accessed by a rope bridge, with only 4 tents lit at night by paraffin lamps and the noise of the birds and animals all around you - it was a real `out of Africa` experience. The animal sightings in all the locations were brilliant and we saw almost every animal we could have imaged including some nocturnal e.g. Porcupine but being big cat fans the best had to be the lion cubs and cheetah brothers in Entebeni and the leopard cubs in Central Tuli (Koro). Animal sightings cannot be guaranteed but all the rangers/guides were excellent and tried their best to find as many as animals as possible on the game drives and bush walks. Their knowledge of birds and plant life was also exceptional. Alexandra accompanies you on the tour and is a fountain of knowledge from her experience both in the travel industry and her conservation work. As part of the tour we also spent a day in a local town experiencing the sights and sounds of Northern South Africa along with visits to local arts and crafts. You can even sample the local food if you wish although I confess I didn’t try the dried Mopane worms but our friends did. All in all this was an absolutely amazing holiday which must have taken a lot of preparation by Alexandra and her team. Our only complaint we have is that the bar has now been set so high for future holidays that I’m sure we will struggle to find a safari holiday on the same level. Our only answer to this is to book another trip with Alexandra’s Africa. Finally thank you to Alexandra, her team and all the staff in the camps and lodges we visited for making our holiday so special.

Alexandra’s Africa Safaris
Our African tour was a side trip that my sister and I came up with as an afterthought since we were in Mauritius for a golf tournament. We did not put much thought in it and trusted Alexandra with the details at a short notice. There were 4 of us.What a relief! Alexandra tabled the itinerary very clearly and managed our expectations. We had several zoom meetings to discuss what to expect, what to do and what not to do. She followed up on the pre-safari checklist and answered all our questions. During the trip, she was always available for a call and took care of any missed timeline or concerns. She was on top of our trip, short of being with us.We had very knowledgeable local guides and kept us informed and amused too. Shout out to Shelton in Zimbabwe and Sam in Botswana. They really made the trip memorable for us. They showed the best of the national parks. They do not lure animals for show. We discover what we can find and enjoy those moments watching the animals in their natural environment. On our trip to Victoria Falls, Shelton our guide kept us on track even with the pouring mist/rain. Then he made us backtrack to the viewing points to enjoy the double rainbow when most of the tourists have already gone. That was priceless.Thank you Alexandra and team. The animals are safe from tourists in Zimbabwe and Botswana. Thank you for that.

Alexandra’s Africa Safaris
We would just like to say a big thank you to Alexandra's Africa and her amazing team for a wonderful safari adventure. My two sons and I have all agreed that the trip greatly exceeded all our expectations and was truly an incredible life experience. Prior to the holiday Alexandra made time to discuss with us the details of the safari, which we found invaluable, and greatly appreciated. Whilst in South Africa the care and attention of Alexandra and team added greatly to the holiday. The game reserves handpicked by Alexandra included lodges individually different in style and location with welcoming friendly staff who prepared us some delicious food. All of this ensured we had an awesome time and learnt loads about South Africa. We cant wait to go back!

Alexandra’s Africa Safaris
We have just returned from our safari trip with Alexandra ,helped by Sonia.Initially wary of booking this trip because of our age and uncertainty of whether it was what we wanted. However this Safari has surpassed all our expectations, we saw all the big 5, bird life in abundance and many of the smaller animals. The game wardens were so knowledgable ,pleasant and helpful and keen to show us the game. This trip had the added bonus of the eco and cultural dimension. Alexandra has passion for what she does and at all times we felt confident in her ability. We cannot recommend this trip highly enough because we have had a very positive lifetime experience.

Alexandra’s Africa Safaris
My trip with Alexandra’s Africa changed the way I see the world. Alexandra’s intimate knowledge of Southern Africa allows her to curate a trip that inspires you to look beyond what a typical tourist sees and immerse yourself in local culture. You’ll share experiences with locals that call Alexandra a friend, allowing you to see Southern Africa in a uniquely intimate way.Alexandra held my hand with patience as we planned this trip of a lifetime for my family, and she tailored each detail of our trip with expert knowledge and insight. There was not one day during my family’s month long odyssey that I wasn’t greeted with culture, sights, wildlife and people that took my breath away.I’ll always be grateful to Alexandra, Sonja, and the entire team at Alexandra’s Africa; the trip they curated was truly the trip of a lifetime.

Alexandra’s Africa Safaris
If an African safari is on your bucket list, but you worry about being more of a managed tourist than an independent traveller, then Alexandra's Africa is probably for you. These are deeply personal, small-scale safaris that bring you right to the heart of South Africa - its incredible landscapes, rich wildlife and amazing people. Some of the safaris include bush-camps, but don't be put off by the idea of a tent - these are spacious, comfortable and with ensuite facilities, and nothing quite beats a bush sunrise complete with a giraffe grazing from a nearby tree. Highly recommended.

Alexandra’s Africa Safaris
7 of our family holidayed in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana with Alexandra’s Africa Safaris and had a truly fabulous holiday. We not only saw the big five on our game drives but plenty of other wonderful animals and birds, the Victoria Falls, sunset and day cruises, boating in the Okavango Delta and the more intrepid members of the party went white water rafting in the Victoria Falls gorge. The places we stayed were wonderful, including the classic safari Kadizora Camp in the Okavango Delta which seemed to epitomise Africa. Everything ran smoothly, with no hitches in what really was a “full on” wonderful experience.

Alexandra’s Africa Safaris
The vast beautiful landscapes, intriguing cultures and Africa's unique animal kingdom is blended on this safari into a life changing experience. Alexandra's attention to detail, her knowledge about Africa and dedication to deliver only the best was evident right throughout the trip.. Every new place we arrived at was different and awe-inspiring in so many ways. From day one we became immersed into the sounds, sights and smells of Africa . We had several close encounters with animals which was unexpected and absolutely fantastic! The open savanas and unusual topography was breathtaking and not to mention the hospitality of the local people, spa's and the great food. All in all an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended.
