Mike has been great throughout:1) The expectations were very well-managed. He did not just follow our instructions, but advised us on the best solution at every step, showing high expertise.2) He is very humble and professional, showing up every day at pre-agreed time until completion.3) At the end of every working day he left the place so tidy that I was telling my wife I am already happy to leave it as is.4) Last but by far not least, it felt like he was doing the work for his own house - carefully and diligently.I highly recommend MCS Plastering Services Ltd to others and definitely going to use their services again myself for any plastering / rendering work.

*Phase 1 refurbishment works:*Mike is currently helping us with the refurbishment of our house and he is an integral part of the entire project. We’re having some structural alterations done and the entire house is being stripped out. Without Mike’s skill and expertise, I don’t think we would be able to get through this project at all. At the outset, we didn’t quite appreciate what we were letting ourselves in for and Mike has quite literally saved the project! He was highly recommended by our structural surveyor and our neighbours and now we’ve had first hand experience of his work, we understand why they gave him such rave reviews.Mike has gone above and beyond what any other plasterers would take on. He has repaired and permanently strengthened large cracks in our walls, replaced ceilings and also provided invaluable advice on the wider elements of the project. We are so grateful for this because other plasterers we have used in the past wouldn’t think twice about plastering over old shoddy walls but Mike is keen to fix the root of the underlying problems to ensure that his work stands the test of time. Another thing that is special about his work is the finished surface. It’s the smoothest I have ever seen! The other tradespeople that were working in my house at the same time were equally impressed - the finished plastered walls are as smooth as silk! This brings me onto my next point which is that Mike worked incredibly well alongside the other tradespeople in the house and where necessary collaborated with them with ease and professionalism.As we have stripped the house back, like with all older houses, we have discovered all sorts of problems under the surface and I really value Mike’s approach to this. I’ve spoken to other customers who have used his services and they have had the same experience. He presents the customer with options on how to proceed when unforeseen complications arise (in our case, underlying cracks in our crumbing walls!) and clearly and concisely helps us decide on the best option for our budget so the costs are always transparent.Mike is punctual, tidy, full of energy and on overall top- notch, decent guy. Everyone is immensely fond of him and we’re looking forward to having him back next week for phase 2 of the works. Our list of things that we’ve got for Mike to fix is getting longer by the day. I guess, for him, the only downside of him being so proficient is that we’re now 100% reliant on him to make our shell of a house a family home!
