Cannock Chase Forest Christmas Trees

Used to be a great place to kick off Christmas, mulled wine, sugared doughnuts, grotto, etc.We’ve been getting our trees from here for 20 years, but not anymore. It’s just a shop now, and not even a nice entry as you have to go through the aggressive looking paid car park entrance, with no signs to say you get free parking if you buy a tree.We didn’t mind paying the high prices for the trees because of the experience, but now there is just no reason. Next year we’ll try one of the other nice experiences we’ve heard about.

Plenty of choice, friendly helpful staff, free parking excellent experience

Honestly don’t waste your money here, I wish the Christmas trees would go back to marquis drive. The forestry commission men at marquis drive were so helpful it was a lovely atmosphere and easy to get to. Now it’s an awkward drive round the car park which is always slippery and poorly maintained. The employees who clearly have better places to be are too busy chatting with each other to help. No offers to help with carrying the tree and you can’t park close to the payment area so it is a struggle to get it to the car. Totally different experience to what it was and devoid of any atmosphere. We’ve always had a tree from Cannock as they’re sustainable but this is the last year we will struggle up here with the unhelpful staff.Edited to say this is my experience speak as you find but I’m not going to sugar coat a bad experience.

I think the below 2 reviews are very unfair and after picking up our tree last weekend I’ve had to make sure to write one myself.We’ve found the trees to be very reasonable in terms of price (£55 for 6ft tree). The whole process was very smooth, plenty of trees to choose from, staff were lovely. You can pay by card or cash. Buying a tree also gives you an hour’s free parking.Important to mention that every sale of a tree guarantees 2 new trees planted which is very environmentally friendly.The tree we’ve picked up is very full, some of our guests even asked if it’s fake! We’re definitely coming back next year
