All your typical scottish tourist goodies, basically a million things in tartan and tweed but we'd never been previously, so it was worth a wander around. We sat and watched a wedding photo session with a horse and carriage. We didn't try the museum or whisky sampling this time. But did check out the farm shop, which again was stuffed full of goodies for the tourist. There was a EV charger, which was nice though they are expensive nowadays.

It looks very sad in the winter, in the sun shine. Roadway & car park poor.Nice old chap took his mask off just to cough all over the sandwiches in the cafeteria. Luckily I'd just walked in so exited immediately. All other facilities closed on 5/12/21

Ordered some Scotch Haggis online all the way fr Malaysia and I'm so pleased all items arrived in good conditions at my doorstep within 2 weeks and all Haggis expiry date is 2024. So glad to have found this shop which supports worldwide online purchase & delivery. Thank you.

Small collection of shops with lots of history. It was interesting to walk the grounds and learn more about this place. The shop is a lot larger than expected with a surprisingly impressive selection of Barbour and other country attire. It’s worth stopping by just for the shop. Lots of parking for cars and coaches, public loos, and places for kids to play. We didn’t go to the cafe, but it seemed to have a good selection.

OK, I'll admit this review has been a long time coming, but somehow I don't think the place will have changed a great deal in the last few years since our visit. We were actually heading for Dumfries as my Mum's family came from around there, but despite being a bit too old to elope, couldn't resist a detour to tick this off our list. Well worth a visit for a few hours, even if you aren't planning on getting married. The word that came to mind was 'quaint' - it's exactly how we expected it to be and has successfully managed to avoid becoming a parody.

Gretna Green is steeped in romance and history. The iconic setting is both charming and evocative, transporting visitors to tales of elopements and timeless love. Additionally, enjoyed a nice shopping spree here, with a variety of stores to choose from. The clean and accessible toilets were a welcome convenience during our stop. A picturesque spot that's rich in tradition and caters well to its visitors!

Gretna Green. Is a small town in the southeastern city of Edinburg and is located on the border between Scotland and England. This city is Scotland's last stop before entering England. In this city we will see many sculptures with the theme of intimacy between two humans, both teenagers and adults. There are also many Wedding Halls and Function rooms. In the end I just got word that this city is a romantic city where many people come specifically to get married. Both adult couples and also apparently very young couples can be implemented in this city. You can do in church only or with the wedding reception. There are no rules and age restrictions on getting married so that even teens can get married. Or those who can't get married officially elsewhere can do it here. The city is very typical of Scotland, starting from the building, the food and there is a bagpipe music performance that plays Scottish songs. Also in this city there are restaurants with typical Scottish food. There is also a souvenir shop selling food and souvenirs from Scotland.
