Avis Car Hire - Glasgow International Airport

John Queen gave my mum and I a royal reception at Avis/Budget Glasgow Airport. He was courteous, understanding, and more than that, he helped us immensely with all the details of our car hire. We were involved in the Storm Babet chaos, coming from London Kings Cross, and were originally to pick up our car in Edinburgh the day before. John really went above and beyond, and made a wonderful start to our Scotland holiday. It was my mum's first time in Scotland, and he really showed the true meaning and spirit of Scottish hospitality. Would absolutely recommend!

I had an excellent car rental experience at Avis/Budget car hire at Glasgow Airport recently. The staff are very helpful - special mention to Artie and Gordie who go above and beyond in their customer service! I will definitely be back! Thank you again.

Beware so called ‘quick pass’. After booking I was rung up by Avis and a friendly person asked me a lot of questions saying that quick pass would speed the collection process in Glasgow. It didn’t. The 20 minute call made no difference. I still had to go through a long check-in that seemed to repeat everything I’d gone through on the phone. It all too far too long. Then, when I eventually got the key to a car, a warning message flashed up saying the engine needed oil. Surely these things are checked? To his great credit, the man at this final stage found me another car very quickly and efficiently.

The Budget/Avis team provided us with excellent service, guidance and full details for all aspects of our 11 day hire. We were very happy with the Citroen C4 mini SUV which was provided for our rental. It was like new and had easy to use controls and features, including Apple / Android Car Play which came in handy to use our phones for navigation and other needs. Our check in agent, John Queen, was fantastic. He took time to ensure everything lined up with the reservation and also looked to see if he could also take advantage of any local offers to improve the rental. Would absolutely recommend Budget / Avis based on our experience and we’ll for sure be repeat customers whenever we’re back in the UK again. Having the presence right at the Airport allowed us to get on the road quickly after clearing customs/immigration and also enabled us to drive straight to the terminal and use the key-drop option (our departure flight check in was very early in the morning, before the rental offices opened). All Avis employees should go to Glasgow airport Avis to mimic their customer service. Everyone was so nice, friendly, and accommodating. I especially appreciated Daniel who helped us check in the vehicle. He was so pleasant and helpful about things in Glasgow that he really helped us end our driving part of the trip on a good note. Very attentive staff. 20/10 customer service!

Hired a car for two days. Staff very thorough and helpful made hiring a car easy and hassle free. John very supportive and talked me through everything. He even answered the questions in conversation that I had to ask. The team from meeting them at the parking area ,escorting us the the booking office to taking us to the car were a very well deserved 5 stars. The check in process was seemless. John Queens was the agent who helped us and he was the friendly face we needed at the end of a long day of traveling. He was knowledgeable and offered to explain everything. We were so appreciative of his stellar customer service which is lacking in so many places these days. He made us want to return and do business with Avis again. The car was great. No issues. Price was fair. The gentleman that helped us in the lot was great too. Sorry, I can't remember his name. I rented my car from Avis when I went to Scotland. They didn’t have the car I rented so they actually gave me a slightly larger Mercedes for the same price. I didn’t do that much driving while I was there cause I was working slightly, but the car ran fine, and did what I needed to do, on my way from Inverness back to Glasgow. I hit a pothole in the tire lost air pressure. Was at 7:45 at night on a monday. Fortunately, they dispatched a wrecker who picked us up and took us an hour and a half S., where we were led off at a gas station/truckstop. I was informed another wrecker would pick us up soon and take us the rest of the way to Glasgow, but that driver ran out of hours so he never arrived. But Avis did not leave us hanging, they sent a taxi for us who picked us up and drove us to our hotel in Glasgow. I was impressed how they took care of us. I am grateful that I did not try to rent a car from someplace cheap because they would not have taken care of us like this. Avis will be my first choice going forward

Very disappointed with the service from this lady working at Avis on the counter. It was yesterday morning at Glasgow airport. She was extremely rude upon our first interaction. It's upsetting to have a staff like her. She even told me you can go Alamo next door if you are not happy! Bravo...very disappointing with Avis for such a service and having such an employee.
