I am forever grateful I found Salsaché. I had tried other dance classes and on my visit here, I felt safe welcome and comfortable. That was 2 years ago, the understanding, patience and kindness of all involved are outstanding and it really is a joy to be part of it. I feel blessed to have found such a fantastic, skilled international teacher and amazing staff, in my home town, who encourages and is all about dance and his students journey. If you want the best experience this is the home of dance it is its heart and soul.

Salsaché represents a vibrant, welcoming community that I'm proud to be a part of. Tamba is an exceptional teacher, and his lessons have completely transformed my dancing experience. He creates an atmosphere that is not just about learning the moves but embracing the joy of dancing. He has the unique ability to fuse humour, passion, and an unwavering dedication to the art of dance. His jokes and anecdotes give every lesson a relaxed and enjoyable learning environment. Tamba's enthusiasm for music is infectious and shines through in the routines he teaches. These routines are not just about steps; they are about feeling the music, playing with its rhythms, and understanding the essence of musicality in dance. They teach you not just to move your feet but to hear the music. This emphasis on musicality and connection really helped enrich my dancing experience. But it isn't just about lessons - the Salsaché team also throw the most amazing parties! The Sunday matinees are the embodiment of a friendly, inclusive atmosphere where everyone is welcome, regardless of their background or dance ability. They foster a sense of community and belonging. I moved to Nottingham without knowing anyone and now have an amazing circle of friends. Salsaché isn't just a dance school; it's a home where laughter, friendship, and the love of dance come together in perfect harmony.Whether you have been dancing for years, or have zero experience, I can’t recommend Salsaché enough!

A dancing genius! He is at one with movement expression and music and is one of the few teachers around that teaches you how to try and feel dance within yourself and with your partner. Always gives you his all with endless energy. Excellent presentations on zoom classes as well. Can’t recommend his limitless salsa skills and knowledge highly enough!

Tamba has completely transformed my dancing!I learned some salsa basics on the dance floor and had been wanting to take classes to improve my dancing for a while. However, I often felt frustrated and self-conscious in the classes I tried because I did not understand what I was doing wrong (and the teacher didn’t seem to be able to tell me either) or because it all felt quite serious.Until I found Tamba! The first class I did with Tamba was at a party. I remember it very well because it was the first time ever that I was able to fully dance a shine (= a piece of solo dancing). Tamba was able to break down the steps in such a way that, for the first time, I could do it! And he taught it in a way that was energetic and fun.Over the last two years, I have been attending his weekly Cuban salsa, salsa on 1, cha-cha-cha, and salsa on 2 classes, and my dancing and confidence have massively improved. The community of dancers he has created is super warm, welcoming, and supportive. They are also very crazy, in the most positive way, and Tamba is definitely the craziest of them all! He is a real joker and will make sure that you train not only your dancing legs but also your laughing muscles.Yet, the fun does not take away from the quality of the teaching. Tamba can break down and explain steps and moves like no other. He will make you truly understand the difference between steps and spins and the importance of weight transfer and intention. He has tons of experience: he sees immediately what you are struggling with and gives you excellent pointers on how to resolve it.He is internationally known for his musicality and brilliant social dancing skills, and he really knows how to convey these talents in his teaching too. We learn to hear the music, connect to it, and to each other. He teaches us excellent techniques, but also reminds us that, in the end, dancing is about connecting to each other, enjoying the music, finding yourself, being playful, and being free. When watching Tamba dance - be it a performance or on the social dance floor - I feel he translates music into movement; he shows us with his body parts of the music that I did not even hear before. He also organises the monthly Salsaché Social Club parties on a Sunday afternoon. These parties are truly unique as they combine dancing, games, and nice food, and kids are welcome too. They truly feel like one big community, with lots of people contributing to the parties by volunteering, bringing cake, etc. I feel very proud and honoured to be part of these parties and can say in all honesty that Tamba is driven by a deep desire to create a place where dancers - salserxs, bachaterxs, kizombeirxs, and beyond - come together to connect and where they can be themselves. There are many excellent dancers out there, but what truly sets apart Tamba is that he is an excellent dancer AND a brilliant teacher AND a true community builder. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion with us and for creating this beautiful dance family <3.
