Fish was alright - owner complained that fish was hard to make and that he wanted to give us kids portions and wasn't very friendly at all. Really slow service and an unfortunate let down since the food was nice.

Must go 2 to 3 times a week as i work near by, know the owner fairly well now top bloke and the fish is amazing, friends have said the same about his other foods too. Hands down the best fish I've had in years.

The fish (regular cod) was lovely and a decent portion. Nice light batter. A regular portion of chips is also enough to feed two. Unfortunately the chips looked and tasted like they were made from old/ageing spuds, which is why I only gave 3 stars.

I went yesterday 15aug 2022 lunch time. Ordered cod and chips I was waiting for my food while the guy was preparing other customer food. While putting the fish in the box it fell on the floor and he picked it up and packed it for the customer. I told him that I saw it and he started getting aggressive. I asked for refund which after arguing with him for 5minutes he gave it back very rude and dirty place to be getting food. I’m surprised Rotherham council don’t visit often to places likes these for hygiene.Never again I’m going to that place again. Please avoid and if you go always make sure you stand there while they prepare your food.

By far the best chippy in Rotherham now. Replaces the good old staple favourite at Clifton n that's hard to beat. Fish n batter fresh, clean oil and even the scraps are crunchy and tasty. Give this place a go and keep this local guy going
