Tinsley Park Golf Course

This place is magical. I grew up playing this course. I'd rather play this than any other course in the world and I have played some of the so called best. Filled with nostalgia. A great course that can reward your risky shots or punish you on a bad day. End of Aug 23 was in great condition.

The course was in very good condition although the rough is getting thick and overgrown thanks to the wilding policy the clubs are adopting.

Disappointing as this course used to be on a par with the majority of members clubs in the area. Not so now I'm afraid and I say that as someone who loves it!Maintenance budgets obviously chopped by SIV - bunkers filled in, rough allowed to grow into previously maintained fairways and, criminally in my view, allowing greens to become fairway. What a travesty!Won't be returning soon, particularly since SIV tried to fleece me last year by insisting I had to continue paying for membership when I didn't want to renew (they sent" a non existent email which they later said they hadn't!)All in all sad to see such a jewel in the crown become so run down and dog eared. And that's not to mention you're paying more for the poor conditioning. More

Been playing Tinsley regularly for a few months, as a novice to intermediate golfer.Played it on the 5th September and it was in superb condition and just as good as many of the more expensive courses, and you couldn’t tell it was a municipal instead of a private course.At the minute the rough is getting longer and has been allowed to grow longer in places that it didn’t before. Makes it more challenging which is good.The greens and bunkers are in excellent conditions. The Greens have been well looked after and are playing true, plenty of sand in the bunkers to give a challenge.The telling thing that was on a midweek afternoon there was plenty of golfers out and about enjoying a round of golf.

The course is in great condition the greens are amazing even the tees are in better condition than some other courses greens! Beware of missing fairways the rough has not been cut for a while.

The best municipal course around South Yorkshire. Greens and fairways in fantastic condition, rough penalising. The only negative regarding the course is no fault of the greenstaff. 3rd green has had trespassers and been vandalised. The pro would be wise to start answering the phone. When booking it was left ringing all day.

The course is good the green staff don't respect the Golfers useing tools on the green while golfers are putting asked then to turn bloer and strimmer off i was ingnored they just carried on and the the in the shop wayne is mardy and needs to cheer up

What a fabulous course. Great value at £16 a round….Better condition than some private courses I’ve played recently which cost around £10 more! Greens were immaculate, fairways short and well kept, wide open fairways but you had to really think about where to play your shot or you’d be blocked out or some horrendous sand trap awaited you near the green! Even the bunkers were all raked and immaculate…Absolute pleasure to play there today and I will be back for sure (maybe sneak another round in Thursday)

Course was in great condition for a municipal, greens were true and got quicker through the morning as it dried out. For £19 a round at 10am midweek then it was well worth it.
