Big Smoke house straight away stood out to me today when waiting in departures, a classy but exciting aroma. As I walked in about to take my seat, Paulina straight away put me at ease, explained that there was no need to go for to the bar to be served as she would serve me, asked if I would like food aswell as the obligatory airport beer I had in mind. Paulina served me fast and efficiently! Kept checking in also if I was ok and/or would like anything else. Lovely service, food a bit pricey, but is of great quality!! What an away to start a holiday!!

We were served by Jerome, who was very prompt to bring our food and had a good sense of humour. Food was unexpectedly good. I had a minute steak which was large, perfectly cooked (pink in the middle) and came with a large portion of fried potatoes and salad. All portions were generous for the price and service was fast despite it being very busy. Thoroughly recommended to fill yourself up before a No-frills flight. Atmosphere wasn’t bad but how good can the atmosphere be in the middle of an airport terminal.

For an airport diner it is really a very nice place to be. Food came out promptly and the staff were very friendly. I ordered the full veggie breakfast. The sunny side up eggs were perfect and the veggie sausages were well cooked. The BBQ beans were interesting, very sweet with not much sauce to dip the bread in to, however I liked the mixed beans. The smashed avocado was what I expected. The mushrooms were okay, holding a bit too much water. But this is all skewed by the fact the beans and the mushrooms were lukewarm. I am not sure if this is so people can eat quickly and get to their flight but it really took away from the experience. A positive to end on was the freshly squeezed orange juice was very nice.

What a pleasant experience - we were serve by Paulina and from the first moment it was a joy. If Paulina was living in Cambridge I would strongly consider employing her. Friendly - looking to help with extra sales without being pushy. Lovely breakfast - we had the Big Smoke Breakfast and it was lovely. Perhaps a bit pricey but well worth the money. Nice and clean and great atmosphere.

TWO STARS IS GENEROUS. I really wish I'd read the reviews before I spent £14 and 45 minutes waiting for possibly the strangest Bangers and Mash I've ever had. The sausages tasted fine, but we're super gristle-y, the onion gravy had so much ale in it, it could get you drunk off it alone (unpleasantly strong) and it came topped with ale-soaked sweet potato ribbons? It tasted wrong. Had to ask three different servers for a glass of tap water with ice, which showed up at the end of my meal without ice. Took a further 15 minutes and 3 servers to finally pay and get out of there. Just don't bother.

Well, I think is time to skip this bar on my brake before flight!The glasses are terribly dirty and with flies sitting on it.I asked staff if that possible to remove and clean glass for next customers, they said that is happening all the time and they seem not be bothered.I asked for a Manager, just to let her know what i just saw, no asking for refund or anything. I just believe clines shout be a priority if you serve drinks and food.The manager asked if i have any problem with it and suggested to go somewhere else.. she would not share her name too, even cover her badge afront of me.I know that I’m one of milion customers but it was ridiculous. Call some pest control there!!!!

To be honest wasn't expecting much from an airport breakfast. However, pleasantly surprised. Food was very good, and staff great. Other airport food outlts could learn a lot from them.

For an airport place it is rather good. I was shown to my table (which was being cleaned by the hostess) very quickly and advised that due to busy time, it may take about half an hour for my food to be served. To my surprise, my food was served in less than 10 minutes. The full English breakfast was decent, although the sourdough toast could have been three times thicker. Overall, decent experience.

This sirloin steak was okay and the fries were too soft for it not to be fresh. The side salad was terrible! I told the waitress that I usually throw it in a bin.
