Penowern Snowdonia

We stayed here as a (new) family of 4 with our 4yr old and newborn. Alexa and her family made us very welcome. She provided lots of useful information about the rental and also the local area and attractions before we travelled.If travelling with children just be mindful that the nearest big supermarket is an hour away. If we were staying longer we would have planned out some meals and brought a wee shop with us.The house itself is well contained and provides a tranquil space away complete with hot tub with easy to use instructions. We were only here for a long weekend but the kitchen had everything we needed to make basic meals in the evening. The beds were comfy and there are so many little details thought of like complimentary shower fell, shampoo, washing up liquid, fresh towels etcThere was also a lovely welcome basket on our arrival with goodies and the warm pastries every morning was a lovely touch. With having a tiny one, Alexa was able to provide a Moses basket which we were grateful for with a car full!We visited the nearby railway which my 4yr old obsessed with trains loved. We also visited some nearby beaches which were a short drive away. But you could easily cycle too.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Penowern to anyone nor come back again - it was bliss!!

We had a great stay at the Old Bakery and would highly recommended!Booked with a group with friends, including the Secret Garden and the recently completed new cottage. All of the accomodation was top notch, great facilities, beautiful setting and brilliant hosts!Great for families... the beach, waterfalls, lakes and stunning views are all in your doorstep.Thank for a lovely stay, already planning the next trip!

Alexa and her family made us feel very welcome during our stay this week.The cottage is gorgeous and the views of the Snowdonia national park are even better.The cottage is in a great location and not far from the local town…. And also the local pub is a 10 minute walk.Would highly recommend staying here and we look forward to visiting again in the future.
