Arklow Kennels

After trying to call 3 times and no answer, tried to visit the place.Couldn't even got in a lady come out not even a good morning all she said was - we do not accept those dogs- I couldn't believe what I was earning.It's an American bully one of the most friendly dog breeds there is.Well this just shows the type of training and the poor judgement of the staff.Just felt so discriminated that need to share my opinion.

We have used Arklow for our anxious Saluki for a few years now. He is always really excited when we arrive. Great clean kennels and the staff really attentive

Staff very friendly on the phone when my dogs genera nervous disposition was raised but the owner was incredibly rude when on site for an induction. Dismissive, abrupt and rude, making incredibly personal remarks about how the dog had been failed as she is still of a nervous disposition. Stay well away and find somewhere else so you don’t have to deal with this extremely unpleasant arrogant individual.

I've been sending our dog here for 12 years with no problems. He loves it.

Over the last 22 years, all of our dogs and some of our cats have been cared for at Arklow Kennels. The cats have not been thrilled (only because they never like anything that wasn’t their idea!) but have been well cared for and comfortable.Our dogs have all been delighted to go to Arklow. One once clambered over the reception desk to get in and our current dog cannot wait to get there as it is a real home from home.The owners and staff are wonderful and take very good care of the animals staying with them. Highly recommended.

Used Arklow kennels for many years now and wouldn’t go anywhere else.Fantastic staff and great care for your pets.

I was quite shocked by the experience with the staff at this location, they didnt seem like animal people nor people people. The staff said we couldn't see the facility which was fine to not cause stress to the animals and we looked at the photos which are online already. After viewing the photo's of the facilities we agreed to have a day to 'sleep on it' and confirm our booking the next morning, the staff was happy with this and encouraged us to be sure we were happy.When we left the facility we had a different staff member call us, quite out of the blue and tell us they're cancelling our booking and didn't want our business.Other aspects to be aware of, they do not accept bank transfer or wireless etc. you must pay a deposit in cash/ cheque, meaning an additional trip.Facilities seemed clean but very very chaotic and noisy with a lot of people coming and going and the dogs barking a lot. It is a big facility with a lot of pens and animals on site (so clearly trusted and well used in the area! Albeit we did have a bad experience it may be a one off) so I don't think the animals get 121 personal time or care.

Arklow kennels is an amazing place to keep your pets the staff is really polite and amazing.
