Nice coffee friendly service but never any vegan options besides one single lemon muffin :/ really need to make an effort to provide something for vegans on a regular basis … this has to be one of the only bakeries I know that’s introduced nothing at all in almost two years that I’ve lived here.. I still ask every single time. Sadly that’s not going to be enoughI love the bread tho

One of my go to bakeries when I'm in the area during work. A local community bakery with lovely staff serving the usual items such as variety of breads (ranging from multi seed to spelt & honey), sweet pastries (doughnuts, Swiss buns, Danish etc), and savoury pastries (hot pies & pastries, sausage rolls, streak bakes etc). Usually I go for the savouries and they are just comforting to have on a brisk day...The staff at the bakery are always friendly and helpful. They are always happy to make recommendations or answer any questions you may have. I have never had a bad experience at Smith's Bakery, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a quick bite to eat in the area...

Places like this are disappearing from our towns and villages, and what a great shame. Good range,staff and prices, places like Greg's are not in the same league.

Bread is amazing, however, queues are also horrendous.Much too long to wait...if you are outside you can watch people slow down in their cars and then when the see the queue they drive off to the Co-op,

Due to staff change servers are much more polite. Bread as sandwiches are excellent value for money with quite a reasonable selection of drinks also.

I haven't been here in many years. I was visiting family and they mentioned it was the best place for fresh bread, filled rolls and cakes.There was a good variety of filled rollsVery nice and fresh snd a reasonable price.Staff were friendly and helpful. Very clean

The queue running down the street is an indicator of the how great this place is. Best jam doughnuts I've ever had and incredible bloomers make Smith's a weekly weekend visit. Can thoroughly recommend.

The last 3 times I've visited this bakery it has run out of Bacon or rolls or both, the sandwiches selection is very small and so poor, the cake selection is also small and poor, some of this is due to the tiny size of the shop, limiting options, but this doesn't account for running out of items before lunchtime, only poor management is responsible for that, there's better options out there.
