Have had my alarm system for a couple of years now and by far the best alarm system I have had. Enables me to zone off different parts of the house remotely from any room in the property which is great with a puppy! Have had to have 2 call outs and both prompt, professional technicians who couldn't do enough for us. Value for money is fantastic and have recommended my workplace to install these systems too. The police monitoring facility far exceeds our current supplier

Thanks for your reply but why not use special delivery to ensure arrival next day? .... If asked mum would have been happy to pay postage for the sake of her peace of mind. Where is your duty if care? What happens if mum has a fall before it arrives? Ramcom are only interested in making money selling vulnerable people equipment instead of customer care .... I'm shocked and disappointed that it doesn't worry you she is without her pendant/ lifeline for a week !Angry with this company. My elderly mum mislaid her panic button lanyard so rang them Monday. They clearly don't care about her vulnerability as instead of delivering a replacement they put it in the post. It's Wednesday and she still hasn't got it plus there's a postal strike tomorrow!

Recently got my system installed in to my new home. The engineer who installed my system gave me a thorough explanation of the different parts of the system. It's pretty self explanatory but he took his time e to make sure I felt comfortable with the system. The initial sales call was good too. Didn't go in for a hard sell like some others which was a nice change.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. Tried to tell me that my system wouldn't work if I didnt fork out over £1000 to upgrade it. Which I refused to do. When my display panel developed a minor fault they replaced it with a dirty nicotine stained one from a skip (the engineer advised me he was told to do this because I wouldn't pay to upgrade). When I complained they didn't care. Thankfully my contract is about to run out and if they want their system back they can fetch it from my local tip. Good riddance to bad rubbish. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Dreadful company. Salesman visited my parents and told them they needed to upgrade their BT line or system wouldn't work. Prior to this they've had several calls badgering them. Salesman took over a thousand pounds off them. Talk about preying on the old and vulnerable. Lowest of the low. Police informed and trading standards too.

STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!In addition to the other comments here, it is clear this company is doing something and probably many things wrong.Very unhelpful, untrustworthy, defensive, rude, incapable - predatory behaviour on the elderly and vulnerable, I could go on.They have been investigated by Trading Standards and I will be reporting them again.If I could review less than one star I would. The detail:After we decided to renew a contract based on their commitment to all upgrades, maintenance and repairs of the response box and service - they rang us after the new contract was agreed and told us, their service wouldn't work well if we didn't pay another £1000 to upgrade us to a new box and anything discussed with the previous service customer service operative Anton was not correct and that he no longer works for the company!?! After asking them NOT to call my Grandmother directly by Me/my Father, they called her and ask her for the money. Luckily I was present and interjected.Mr Millford the Senior Account Manager continued with scare mongering tactics, and defensive language. We asked Mr Millford to review the previous call recordings - which they admitted they had possession of - and proceeded to say we needed a court order if we wanted to listen to them. I mean I just want to understand what commitment their company made to my Grandma, but they're already using defensive language to allude court action. There was also no further manager to talk to and they wouldn't get a Director to call me.PLEASE BEWARE.

UPDATE: Hi Nick I will ignore your suggestion. I have a raft of emails to that address where one of your services people have continually failed to help and were even antagonistic. Therefore I will never contact that email again. You guys have managed to swindle money off the previous owners and pretending to care now is pointlessI am tearing your system out of my property and replacing with an honest firms products/services. This review will stand as a warning to those that research into your firmORIGINAL POST: I have just moved into a house where a rancom system is installed. The previous owners an elderly couple had paid to renew the contract for a further five years. We are one year into this contractI reached out to Rancom to try and understand what are the SLAs of the contract which has been paid for in advance and was met with a wall of disinterest and complete lack of customer care. Their robotic answers are designed to try and put you off contacting them. They must be used to grinding their clients down and can see from some of these posts they like to target elderly customers.I am surprised they are even managing 2 star ratings. This is an awful company and I am just grateful I did not pay for their poor system and service. If I could give less than 1 star I would have.

Have nothing to do with this company who are ,I understand l being investigated by the police for dubious selling methods.I ,very unwisely, had a system installed sometime ago and then decided it was not what I wanted I was charged over £1000 for breaking the contract I asked the company to cancel my service contract But still got calls reminding that it was due for service.I would like the company to remove all their equipment but that would necessitate a certain amount of redecoration.As a result of posting these comments i will probably get a response from Nick offering some form of recompense. I am not interested unless you are prepared to refund me £1000!

Cold calling from sales team stating that my mothers present alarm system needs to be changed to a digital system as the one she has is not effective. When i spoke to sales person and requested some information in writing, he stated that it is a special offer and that she would have to accept the offer there and then!! Nice bullying tactics, praying on the vulnerable!! Ironic really, trying to sell my mother another system, especially as she has not been able to use the one she has for the last 3 months, as the batteries have gone flat on the fobs. Since the lock down, Rancom have put nothing in place to replace faulty fobs!!

Awful company that prays on the elderly - They seemed to ring my aunt just after she'd been robbed and talked her into spending £5,000 on a security alarm they said was worth £7,000 - That was supposed to include 5 years of remote monitoring.. well it was only 1 year and they already started to phone her to get her to renew her subscription when she was told £5,000 included 5 years of monitoring. Well it's not been about 2 years and just a few minutes ago they called again. however when my aunt questioned them they hung up the phone on her. I am an electronics and computer expert. I build my own computers and I can say without a doubt the equipment installed is worth nothing like £5,000 - at most £200 to £400 worth of electronics.I strongly advise those with elderly relatives to warn their elders about companies like this that prey on the elderly.
