Absolutely lovely evening. Newly done up place is so much more welcoming and friendly for families and tourists. .. life music added very much splendid ambience to the ship in . Thank you will be back. .

A great pub right on the beach. We went in December and there was a roaring fire in the snug. The staff were really friendly, the beer was spot on and the food was delicious.

Fantastic location, sitting with a drink overlooking the beach is amazing.The fish n chips however, were substandard - pre battered fish, frozen chips and no scraps.Service extremely slow at the outside chippy - the chef was hungover and made no secret of it.Maybe teething problems, I hope so.

Original post was 2022 in Oct..Gorgeous brisket dinner, husbands mixed grill was fabulous! Lovely welcome from Stuart. Edit. 21/08/23. I believe the place may be under new management, the old team are now in a different pub just inland.

Great pub right by the beach, fantastic views.Food was superb.Good selection of drinks.Dog friendly, a massive bonus.Will be back.

Staff were lovely. Visited at lunchtime, the food was OK. Had the vegan meatballs, quite tasty. The chips were lovely.Didn't rush me to leave, very relaxedSpotless toilets ( always my bar when visiting somewhere)Would recommend for a pub lunch in a lovely historic pub

The staff were freindly and service was good. We ordered cod and chips. The fish was not cod and definitely not fresh. The chips were fairly tasteless,when my wife pointed this out to a member of staff she was told we're a chain now".We are really disappointed
