Salt Cafe
We decided to pop in to check the place out seeing we needed some refreshments...We picked up a couple of teas and a milkshake for myself, the feedback on the teas were that it was pretty standard, nothing to shout about. The milkshake on the other hand...the worst made milkshake I've ever purchased, it tasted horrible, not worth the £3.00 i paid, not even worth 99 pence in my opinion.Hopefully the food tasted better than the beverages. The place was nice, you can relax and take in the scenery. The staff were also nice, so can't say nothing bad about that. All in all, isn't bad, just don't purchase their milkshakes, or perhaps just not their strawberry version...

Honestly at the end of a pier you don't expect good coffee. So what a surprise to find a flat white that outclassed the chain coffee stores in the town.Staff were friendly and we had a good chat about the menu beforehand. Worth a stop.

This has changed hands is the last year and where once it was a lovely, friendly cafe at decent prices, it has become the money grabbing enterprise of most other establishments. I used to enjoy walking the pier and getting a nice cup of tea from here with my friends. The wait for drinks, the coffee from a vending type machine, is tiresome and so not worth it. At the prices now attached I would rather go in the Jamie Oliver cafe which is a bit pricey but you get a lovely teapot and cups with a very friendly service.Another good place bites the dust.

If you walk to the end of Southend pier, it's nice to find this little cafe for a snack and refreshing cuppa! It is modern and nicely laid out with really good views. The staff are friendly and helpful and the range is good with reasonable prices given the location.Toilets are modern and clean and is a good idea to pay them a visit if you are waggling back down the pier.!

Salt Cafe
Disappointing but a welcome place to sit down even if it's always closed or closing when we get there. I was lucky this year to get a drink before it shut, at 5pm in the height of summer in glorious heat and sunshine. I counted at least 5 groups of people who had made the walk only to approach the cafe and find it closed. Costa and a small shed were open but it's a wonder why any business would close before 7 in summer, in a heat wave.

Expensive and very poor service, bordering on rude from the person on the till today. Servers bringing drinks to tables were pleasant though, making up for the previous person.
