I took my aviation mad 12 year old son along to see the guys at Norwich Aviation Centre. They were really helpful and knowledgeable and chatted to us about the steps for my son to gain his PPL in few years time. Will be booking a flight in New Year to get the wings in motion!! Top flight school, very nice and friendly people. The aircraft are in great condition and the Pipers are a lot comfier for taller pilots than the Cessna's I've had at other schools. Also appreciate how open they are about pricing compared to other flight schools.

Original review from September 2023. Booked the Sunset Serenade flight with Norwich Aviation Centre in September 2023. Rob made the booking process very simple. Steve, our pilot was superb. Very friendly and extremely professional. He put us at ease immediately. The flight was most enjoyable and an experience we will not forget. Steve pointed out historic houses and estates, landmarks, towns and villages. The Norfolk coastline from the air is most impressive.Additional review for November 2023. A few weeks later and I am back for flying lessons with NAC - currently five lessons in AND LOVING IT! Once again, the process was carefully explained, as were the fees involved and NAC's Fair Flight Finance arangement - no need for upfront payments here - you pay as you go. All lessons are booked on their online portal which both NAC and I get to see meaning I can keep track of and save paper or digital copies of all my training, notes and invoices to date.So far I have had two instructors, both are absolutely superb. My main instructor so far has been Steve who took us on our original Sunset Serenade flight in September. He is patient, explaining each lesson before we take to the air, allowing me to understand what we are about to do. Steve allows me to proceed at my own pace whilst still giving the right amount of nudge to to keep me moving through the course. Most importantly for me, I feel totally safe whilst in the air with him. I have met some of NAC's other instructors - all are really friendly and professional. Other students I've chatted with speak very highly of them. I get the feeling Rob, the CEO, is building a really friendly, inclusive community for us students and the instructors. It is a great place to be! There is plenty of support and encouragement at the bus stop" (NAC is based in the former Norwich Airport park and ride building - makes parking a doddle!) so if I find there is something I am not sure of or some advice is needed

Where can I start? this flight school is absolutely incredible, the team are very friendly, very professional and extremely well qualified, and have gone absolutely up and above all of my expectations, to give my son the confidence and continued support towards his amazing journey to become the pilot he’s always dreamed of being.I honestly can not tell you just how amazing everyone is, and I will be forever thankful for everything they have done over the past few days to help me and my son. I done trial flights at some other local flight schools but nothing compared to the level of instruction and quality of the aircraft at norwich aviation centre.NAC will now be taking me from a novice pilot, all the way as far as i can go and i wont be looking back!

I have had a fantastic experience at Norwich Aviation Centre. The instructors are not only highly skilled but also incredibly supportive, making the learning process enjoyable. The state-of-the-art aircraft fleet and well-organized training programs have ensured a smooth and efficient journey towards my Pilot license. Communication was excellent, and the friendly atmosphere created a sense of community among students. I highly recommend Norwich Aviation Centre to anyone aspiring to become a pilot.

A truly great flight school. If you are looking for well maintained aircraft with very dedicated and professional instructors, look no further. A real pleasure to deal with and can't recommend them highly enough. Bonus of being in a lovely part of the country as well!

I am halfway through the Norwich Aviation Centre's IMC course, and I couldn't be more excited to share my great experience. It's been a fantastic adventure, and I can't wait to share this flying school's beautiful attributes.My instructors, Howard Barber and Simon Rolfe, have made the learning process very instructive and entertaining. With Howard's meticulous attention to detail and Simon's gentle and encouraging style, every class has been closer to my goal of achieving instrument flying.The dedication of Norwich Aviation Centre to customised instruction is what strikes me most about them. The teachers accommodate different learning preferences, so every lesson is educational and customised for my growth towards APTL. This adaptability has given me the confidence and support I need to successfully negotiate the challenges of instrument flying.An inviting atmosphere and well-maintained aeroplanes at the school enhance the overall quality of the learning environment. The warmth and eagerness of the staff to help have added to the enjoyment of my continued participation.I look forward to working with Norwich Aviation Centre to develop my skills further as I finish my studies. I recommend this school if you're considering taking flight instruction, particularly in the area of IMC and other courses they provide. We flew along the Norfolk coast with Rob on the Majesty of Norfolk flight, having booked through Wingly. Both had a fantastic time and Rob happily adapted the route for us so that we could fly over our village. Everything was very clearly explained to us and we found the whole experience very enjoyable. Highly recommended but we would book direct with NAC next time as it’s better value.
