I completed the Beginners Photography Course with Lou a few days ago. One of the most professional and helpful course like this that I have been on. She'd read up on the specs of my camera, had helpful tips that were specific to my camera and what I need to use it for, but also gave me lots of insight and teaching into the world of photography in general. Would love to do more courses if given the chance. 10/10. Thank you!

My private night photography tour with Lou was incredible! Lou is not only skilled in digital photography but also fine art in general. I was expecting a basic tutorial on how to properly set up and use my camera at night, but I got soooo much more! Lou discussed composition, framing, atmosphere, and timing with an incredible depth of knowledge. Her pleasant personality, educational background, and humor made this tour the best photography tour I have ever done! Thank you Lou for the wonderful evening. I will definitely book another tour next time I am in London!

A superb afternoon spent with Lou Smith of London Photo Tours, learning the principles and practical methodology of street photography. Lou took great trouble to explain the optimal camera set up, and then the way in which to take street scene images. During the afternoon, we had break-away sessions to practice our techniques, and then Lou reviewed the images in a helpful and positive way. Lou was at all times encouraging and supportive, able to sensibly critique my images and from which I learned a lot. A fantastic and highly recommendable experience.

Lou is an amazing instructor. I was lucky enough to have 4 hours with her on the Essential Photography tour. We worked around my broken LCD screen and I got some amazing photos. I really enjoyed learning more about my camera as well as talking with Lou about photo composition. She provided some great tips and feedback and is also a great conversationalist. If I make it back to London, I will be on a another tour with Lou.

Highly recommended. This nighttime photography tour with Lou exceeded all my expectations. I was on holiday with my family in London and was looking for a photography guide to help improve my nighttime photography skills, while exploring the city. She did not disappoint!From the beginning, Lou took the time to understand my photography skills and what I was hoping to accomplish during the evening. Her background in fine arts, teaching and her superior photography skills made for a most enjoyable evening and one of the highlights of my trip to London. By the end of the 3-hour photo session, I had a much better understanding of my own camera, and more importantly how to compose great photos which I would be proud to display in my home. I was very pleased and would highly recommend Lou for anyone looking to capture great photos of London. I plan to return to London Photo Tours and Workshops on my next trip to London. Thanks Lou!

The Night Photography Course with Lou was a wonderful introduction to low light and long exposure photography. The course was fun and beneficial for those with any level of experience in night photography. Lou presented a couple of good practice" lessons using shutter priority and exposure compensation on a variety of subjects. She also enjoyed sharing the thought process that goes into making a nice composition. A fantastic experience!"

I had the most wonderful time wandering the streets of Chinatown and SoHo with Lou! I got some of my favorite pictures I’ve ever taken - she was so patient and gave me so many wonderful night photography tips! She also showed me how to get a lot more comfortable with my tripod! I can’t wait to book again. It was such a great value and Lou is an incredible artist who’s generous with her time and craft. Can’t recommend her classes enough!!!
