Horley Post Office

By far the slowest post office I have ever visited. Three different times and always at least 15 minutes wait for two or three people. Give yourself time in advance if you plan to attend.

Well-behaved post office. Top of the notch service. As a local, I can recommend this post office to all. I don't understand why there is so much negative comments.

Posted a gift to a friend nearly three weeks ago, first class. She has not received it. It seems to have vanished. No one else in the queue when I got there, one staff member didn't notice me to begin with as too busy flicking elastic bands at another staff member. Also the post office should be open at 9.00 am. They are never open at that time, you can queue up to 15 minutes while the staff can be out the back standing there, not really in any hurry to open, then coming out to the counter getting the cash out etc. I'm pretty sure that should be done and ready, to actually open at 9.00am.

After standing patiently in the queue for fifteen minutes and letting several customers with smaller amounts of post to send skip in front of us, we got to the front of the line. The manager then put up a sign saying position closed. So we went to the other cashier who didn't seem like he had ever seen more than 50 envelopes in one go before. The manager then came over and told us that we couldn't send our mail and told us to go away. He wanted to be at home at 5:30pm he told us. The website says the branch closes at 5:30pm but it is still only 5:13pm. The manager the proceeds to get very shirty with us and refuses to send a single package for us despite me asking of we can just send as many as we can until it's no longer possible. I feel his refusal to let me use this service is quite disgraceful and as such I will be setting up an account with another company. Two days in a row in Horley we've been refused Post Office service by branch staff. This is now effecting our own customer reviews by people who have paid for and expecting their orders by now. This has tarnished the launch of our product. Absolutely disgraced at the attitude of the manager. As soon as we walked away he opened the position again. I very much he would have done this to a little old lady.

The guy who served me does not deserve even a star, when I spoke with him regarding the parcel I have to collect, he simply started to read a letter, then after checking my id he simply threw it to me. Customer service skills are simply nowhere to find, I got upset, because as a human being I deserve a bit of respect. I rarely visit this office because the way I am treated whenever I pop in is utterly rubbish, plus it gives me anxiety.

No one here seems to know how to treat customers in a human way. Disgusting, especially that man with glasses.

Awful, closed between 14.15 and 16.15 for break.... That's the longest lunch break I've ever heard of. Then opens between 16.15 and 17.15 again before closing early. Useful and disappointing as main PO in the area

Pathetic service, staff shuts the service whenever they want. Don't bother checking their operating hours online because staff don't follow official opening times. When they are open, they are very slow. They have no consideration of customers time. Overall ZERO star service. I wish royal mail listen to customers concerns.

On the Google map it shows opening times (8pm} that are much different than in reality (5pm30) . I wasted a taxi ride back and forth to the airport to find that out.Update your Infos here on Google Map!(if you want to avoid such comments in the future)

The post office females are very very rude. They don’t even smile or greet you nicely. Nothing nice about them at all. The people who work in the main shop joined to it are absolutely amazing though. So that’s the only reason I go in. The girls in the post office could learn so much from the family who run the main shop!
