My daughters have been learning keyboard with Kevin for the past 3 years in person and more recently online. He makes lessons really fun and easy for young ones to learn. They love the songs he makes up and have really taken to learning the keyboard.The online lessons are really convenient and allow us to fit these into our hectic routine.Would recommend to anyone looking for convenient good quality music lessons.

I have been a student of Kevin's for a few years and currently working toward Grade 8 this year .Lessons are never boring and he is very patient and understanding and has a great sense of humour. I started lessons with Kevin nearly 4 years ago, having quit in previous years when I started to lose interest. Kevin revitalised my love for music and has helped me vastly improve my piano skills. Recently, we have had online lessons due to the pandemic and it has not hindered my progress at all. I am currently doing my grade 8 piano with hopes of doing a diploma afterwards. Kevin has been an amazing teacher who is always there to have a laugh with as well as help progress your musical skills. I could not recommend Kev's Chords enough!

Erin has been learning piano with Kevin since 2017 when she started group lessons at school. She enjoyed it so much, when the opportunity to take private lessons became available she jumped at the chance. She very quickly improved and although there is no pressure to take exams, she has moved through them all with ease. The emphasis is definitely to make learning fun and to encourage a love of music. Kevin has a great rapport with Erin and through this he has managed to guide her and encourage her to move on to more difficult pieces of music whilst moving at a pace Erin is comfortable with. Kevin is extremely professional and makes lessons engaging and fun using different games and online tools to help with learning. Obviously during lockdown lessons have had to move to online, but any fears Erins progress would suffer were very quickly dispersed. Lessons are still fun, engaging and challenging. Kevin has managed to encourage and help Erin play pieces of music she could only have dreamed of playing. I do not play, nor read music, so cannot help her, but this hasn't been an issue and Kevin has been on hand to help all the way. Erin has totally fallen in love with the piano and it's a joy to listen to her play. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Kev's Chords to any age group.

Kevin is a super teacher. He is patient and has a good manner with my children. He is flexible and has adapted to remote learning brilliantly. The online music lessons are great as they have meant that my children have been able to keep up with their learning at home and are making good progress.

An inspirational teacher who is able to easily adapt his teaching style to get the best out of his pupils. Kevin has taught my son keyboard since infant school and has kept him motivated throughout allowing him to achieve his Grade 8. He is patient and encouraging and although challenges he keeps the lessons fun and enjoyable. I have no hesitation in recommending Kev's Chords to any age group.

Before I started my piano lessons with Kevin, I had been playing the piano for many years and I was no longer enjoying playing, I was about to quit all together. However, when I started with Kevin his fun & friendly teaching style meant I was able to play a huge range of songs that I really wanted to learn and I began to love playing again. I have just completed my music lessons with Kevin, having just done my teaching diploma and I highly recommend Kevin for all ages as he is able to continue to motivate you as you progress, as well as helping you to achieve your goals to the best of your ability in a professional, passionate and interesting way for all learning styles. I have been learning the piano with Kev since January 2020. Once Covid hit, the lessons transferred to online video lessons. The transition was smooth and didn’t hinder my progress. I passed my grade 1 exam in December 2020. A great achievement in under a year. Kev is a great teacher and has a modern approach to teaching the piano. Layla started learning at School in September but moved to online learning during the lockdowns and this has been so beneficial for her. The online classes are brilliant and packed full of theory and practical learning. Kevin is amazing at keeping her focused and she is learning new things each week about notes and songs! She has really progressed with online lessons in all ways and now working towards an exam! This has helped build her confidence and development for piano :) highly recommended to anyone who wants to learn piano because Kevin makes you feel at ease and incorporates the fun side as well as the teacher side to every lesson!
