Arrived and the lady at reception was being very rude to this foreign lady, she wanted to use the restroom and the receptionist kept telling her to sit down. Poor reception but the lady that sits before the room is lovely! Very kind and cheerful. Overall 6/10 experience only because I managed to pass

Peter was a lovely examiner, he made me feel comfortable and this led to me passing my driving test 2nd time round !

I had my driving test last Monday, first attempt. I was very nervous - did not know what to expect. My Instructor took me for a quick lesson before the time and then I started my test. First impression (and Swindon Driving Test Centre inside) - very nice, toilets clean and bright. Quiet, but this is completely understood. The lady, ,,J'', who was my Examiner called my name and we started. From the eye test, show me/tell me questions, in the car she explained to me very clearly what we are going to do during the test. Something happened - and all of my nerves just gone. I tried to be fully focused on my driving and her voice, commands and advises (yes, your examiner will be exactly the same, they are really nice people, as I noticed!). We even had a little chat, so it was like a normal driving. But still of course it was an exam. Lasted 40 minutes - but for me like maybe 15...? At the end I finished with only 5 minors, but 1 serious - because of my really SILLY mistake! Well, I feel pretty much like a donkey (still). I booked already next test (and quite similar time). Don't be afraid, just go and try to pass. Be focused on your driving and on your examiner's voice. They are, as I said before, really nice people (don't want to hurt you, eat you, bite you etc. - they know your feelings very well, they had to pass their exams too!). Good luck with your tests and good luck to me for my next (and I hope last) time!Quick update: I passed! :) (2nd time).

I had the best experience at my test despite the fog today, and lucked out on getting such a positive and friendly examiner, Peter. He gave me very clear instructions and an informative debrief so I can be a safer driver, which I appreciate. Previously, I had visited the DVLA on its open day and everyone was so friendly. Thank you so much for organising this. It helped a long way.

Absolutely shocking service. Privatise or outsource please!

An absolute disgrace - mark the examiner needs a course in customer service and respect!! Arrived 10 minutes early no one acknowledged us being there I called the number to advise we had arrived the response was it’s 8.55 the test is at 8.57….. after the test he strolled back in saying he’s all yours like he was an object!! WOW what a human being!!!

My daughter took her test yesterday and advised ,as had been told to do so, that she was pregnant to the examiner as this affects the emergency stop.The examiner told her if I want you to do an emergency stop I will". This put her in a bad frame of mind thinking she was going to do it at anytime.Not happy
