'The owner' suggest that they didn't carry out any work and this is an error. This is not true. After FernGas attended and failed to find the cause of the problem on two occasions, I called out British Gas who rectified the root cause (debris in pilot injector) within their 30-minute minimum callout.

Pleasantly surprised. Great service from start to finish. The girls on the phone were pleasant and the guys turned up on time for the job.Respectful of my home and put ground sheets down to protect my cream carpets. They got stuck into the job and the new combi boiler was installed in just 3/4 hours..Explained how to use it too before he left. .One very happy customer.

My old boiler broke & British Gas who I pay a lot of money to for Homecare, let me down badly - happy to take the money but not provide the service!I contacted Ferngas who quoted me quickly & installed a new boiler the same week. Their price was about the same as Boxt etc & I felt I would have better support from Ferngas in the event of any problems. I was so impressed with every member of staff i dealt with - they are all intent on providing excellent customer service with a smile & really support eachother as a team. My house is much warmer than with my old boiler & the new one is much more efficient gas wise. Highly recommended & im cancelling my homecare contract!

Just had a new boiler installed by Ferngas and I have to say it was completed very efficiently.The guys were really good and completed the work in one day. That included a new towel rail and radiator.Thank you Mathew, Dan and guys.

Had a service visit from Ferngas this morning. If 6 stars were available they would get them. Very informative Technician who gave invaluable advice and ensured the boiler was running at best efficiency. Very good value for money on their Service Plan.

Really bad aftercare, we were sold an unsuitable system with about 3 big issues after installation and they blame everything on someone or something else. They seem to only be interested in taking our money even if the system isn't right for us. We've since been warned by several builders about them, wished we'd been warned in advance. It’s funny my Checkatrade review never made it onto that review website.

I recently needed a replacement boiler. Having spoken with several potential suppliers we chose Ferngas as they appeared very professional and their web site whilst not inundated with reviews looked positive.Matthew Hobby advised for a Worcester boiler and we requested a nest system with it. Neither Ferngas nor the other companies we spoke with seemed very up to date with such systems. Consequently some features and additions we did not get advice about which I probably would have chosen to have fitted at the same time.The work went ahead in September 2020, what was described as a 2 man job for 3 days. Whereas, once the work started we have 2 men for half a day and 1 man for a further 2 days. Therefore I paid for 6 days labour and received only 3.Whether this is shown in the workmanship being rushed and missed is another question.They left behind a facade of professionalism and littered it with poor and shoddy workmanship.I paid for a flush through the system. This I later have discovered was somehow done with radiators and valves not fully functioning.The nest controller was placed on the wall will all wires and brickwork showing. I had to ask for this to be filled and smoothed over. Which resulted in filler being scattered all over the floor and furnishings. Something we had to clean up. The unit itself came with a surround panel, which we discovered in the discarded box. Consequently, as the area was still appalling to look at I asked for this to fitting. Begrudgingly they came back and fitted whilst sorting a non functioning radiator.This said radiator I reported not working and I was asked to perform engineering type works myself, something I found strange. Mr Hobby eventually concluded that it wasn’t working and came to visit to look at it.Later we found a leek from the pipe to remove waste condensation. This was leaking because it had not secured it with any form of retaining clip. Hence, it just fell off and pumped water all over the airing cupboard and landing carpet.I had tried to call on the Friday but as they work only a half day and not at the weekend I could only leave a message. This wasn’t returned to I called again on Monday. They agree to visit the following day in the afternoon, it was agreed to do so between 2.00 and 4.00 but closer to 2.00 as I had a prior arranged appointment later. At 4.30 with no one shown yet and no call to explain why I called them. The response was at best flabbergasting, the lack of empathy unbelievable. It was implied it was tough and that all they could do was re schedule during their working hours and that I would have to take time off work to allow them to visit and correct their mistake. The lady on the phone simply repeated and repeated the same without listening or caring as to the predicament. Our boiler and now paid for was the attitude I received. This lack of care did cause and deliberately flame an already frustrated situation. For it is one thing to make a mistake and it can be easily satisfied with an apology and suitable fixing at the least inconvenience but it is far another to not care and to shift all accusations to the innocent party because you only open and work when people have to take time off to facilitate you being there. All the time with no apology. Mt Hobby eventually took the call and sang from their same hymn sheet that their working hours meant more than the customers convenience . After several minutes discussing the problem he eventually saw some sense and sent the same colleague who had done such a poor job in the first place. This colleague blamed his part time co worker as he had assumed he had fitted said clips.I am left with dirt and rubble I have cleaned up, radiators I have bled, a lot sided flue and potential damage to the roof structure. Never any quality control or visit to ensure assurance.Poor and shoddy, unprofessional overall.Their response to this is too wash their hands and refused to look into anything.Their response I am left wi5 radiators I have had to bleed, dirt and rubble I have had toupclips.
