Great place to visit with beautiful surroundings. British Eventing was held here and organised extremely well. @the_life_of_an_exracehorse got her first time placing in her BE80 at this location!

Just enjoyed an outstanding Victorian day at Chillington Hall. We were showered with fabulous food, stylish entertainment, a lovely hands-on creative session - every minute had something to offer. Extremely memorable and highly recommended!!

We visited with a group and we're welcomed very warmly. The guides were expert and interesting. It would be worth anyone's while to visit on one of their occasional open days.We were even served tea and cake by the current lady of the house!

Lovely place for a stroll. Visited the food festival, food was a little overpriced and alto of the same same street food vendors, best stall was the felafel one!

Chillington Hall, is a hidden gem, set in lovely gardens, the rooms are majestic. It’s a bit out of the way but it’s well worth the effort to find and enjoy. We were lucky enough to have the Mr Giffard as our guide who made the hall come alive with so many interesting historic and present day stories of his home.

This place is not open all the time so you need to check out when and it seems only between 2 and 4pm so quite a narrow slot. Our house guide was very knowledgeable about the family history and both cheerful and articulate. The area we visited was limited to a few ground floor rooms as the family continue to live there, but enough to be interesting. There was opportunity and time to wander the Capability Brown grounds including to the lake about a mile away, but the nearby woodland was vibrant with plenty of early naturalised flowers - bluebells and primroses particularly just now. It was a pleasant visit.

Beautiful Hall we visited for a craft event. There was plenty of parking, the grounds were beautiful; full of Spring flowers. The inside of the Hall is magnificent, beautiful paintings, sculpture yet full of touches that made it feel like a family home.Definitely somewhere I would visit again

What a lovely grade 1 listed Georgian country house this place is, located not far from Brewood, in Staffordshire. The lake and parkland surrounding the house were landscaped by that famous Capability Brown. The house dates back to 1724. Apparently it replaced the 16th century home of the High Sheriff of Staffordshire; but the area is even older still and gets a mention in the Domesday Book.Such a lovely setting for events and looks great with the Hall for a backdrop.A nice day, nice place, nice cars. A few more signs and what more could you ask for.
