Pitstone Windmill
Beautiful and scenic location. There is small parking facility available, just for few cars though. The sight is managed by National Trust apparently! We loved to watch the sunset at the Pitstone Windmill! Not sure if picnics are allowed though.

This lovingly restored old windmill is a wonderful sight. We came on a Sunday when the mill was open and found it fascinating to see the inner workings and the machinery inside. Up on the second floor there are two small windows giving great views of the surrounding countryside. The steps up are quite narrow, and you have to be careful with the low beams, so not to hurt them with your head! A lovely National Trust site.

Unique windmill in beautiful rural setting and great explanation of ancient timber mill. Free for National trust members and just a few quid for non members. Go see.

Beautiful place for a peaceful stroll. There's a convenient little parking area, it's not too busy, plus you can catch some spectacular sunsets when conditions are right.

One of the oldest if not the oldest post Mills in the country. Not open very often but well worth a visit when it is. Lots of good walks in the area so can combine a viewing with a lovely walk in the Chiltern hills.

A windmill in a field with a lay by to stop park and have a ganders.Good fun to walk round. Blurb on website says it's open for indoor and outdoor visits but wasn't when we walked up.Beautifully restored and looks lovely

The first time I saw the windmill, I was far from expecting that. As I was fuming after myself for having taken the wrong road, I was looking for somewhere to turn around. And here came a little place on the side of the road where to park your car in between large puddles. I had no intention to park when I saw it".Totally obsolete and so beautiful. So far I have not walked to it yet
