You've just bought a house at auction, and you aren't a property developer with ten lines of debt financing credit. You have to complete in 20 days, or you get sued for failure to complete. Oh, you also need a mortgage. And the property is Grade 2 listed. In a conservation area. And the vendor refuses to reply, and there's no chance for proper survey. The internet says you need to find a partner, or someone in business for 20 years.Just call Michelle.She understood the risk immediately, took it seriously, was available on the phone to answer our worries on adaily basis (try getting a partner at an old established firm to do that - you won't get past their secretary). Honestly. One of the best decisions we made this year, and our tardy review is the least we could do (frankly I should order a bottle of champagne and send it over, but I just hope that she gets well rewarded for a few more superb bits of conveyancing that happened because you read this review).Top stuff. I'd start out by stating our purchase/sale was not a simple one, went on for months and was stressful enough. This obviously wasn't the fault of Lester Campbell but I often found them a hinderance not a help.What I will say is, they are impossible to get hold of, would take weeks to reply to emails and at times could be quite unprofessional. Our agent would only deal with our queries Tuesday or Thursday by phone and on one occasion while chasing them I was shouted at and they hung up on me. It appears she does no longer work here. With the limited opportunity to get hold of someone in the office chasing was a must and I shared my displeasure at how I was spoken to in the strongest possible way. After this it appears my account was reviewed more often. Along with this they came back months later saying I owed them more money after completion and changed what I owed a couple of times, to the point I have no idea if they are being straight with me.From the outside they appear to have taken on way more work than they are able to cover and it comes across in their ability to provide good customer service. Having bought a property previously I understand a lot of the above is common place and broadly speaking I got on with the team but I could not recommend based on my experience during and after completion.

Super efficient, effective and proactive, she was the lynch pin of my recent move from Northamptonshire to Yorkshire - she was acting for my purchase but even drove forward solutions to challenges with my related sale. She knows her stuff!! She’s also simply a lovely person - I was able to contact her directly basically whenever I needed to, explained things clearly, and knew the importance of communication between solicitors and clients. There was a marked difference between her and the other solicitors involved in the chain. I simply cannot fault the service she provided and I highly recommend her to anyone wanting to move house.
