Stratstone MINI Harrogate

I had such a good experience at MINI Harrogate. Claire and the other members of the team were absolutely amazing. This was my first car and Claire made sure I was well looked after from my first visit to final pick up of the car. Even after sale was completed, I was promptly sorted out when I had a minor issue weeks later.The environment itself was really nice. Everyone was professional and friendly and I felt at ease throughout the entire process. Overall, it was a very positive experience for me.

Initially my experience was good. The sales team were able to find me a car and arrange for it to get brought over from another dealership. Unfortunately after this, things started to go down hill. Communication became very poor and I had to constantly chase up when the car was arriving, when I could come view it, etc. When the car finally arrived I went to view it and noticed a few issues with the car, such as rust on the rear light surrounds, driver door seal split and the bonnet not lining up on the passenger side. I was promised these issues would be sorted, which I was more than happy with. Fast forward a week later, I went to collect the car and none of the jobs had even been attempted. Not only was I disheartened, but also quite annoyed as they had over a week to sort out the issues. When I pointed out the issues once again, I was told that one of the issues (the bonnet not being lined up properly) was ‘supposed to be like that’. It definitely wasn’t supposed to be like that as you could see very clearly that the gap between the bonnet and the wing got tighter and tighter and with any minor bump those panels would have contacted (photo attached). I decided I wasn’t happy and requested a refund of my deposit and I wouldn’t be going any further with the purchase of the vehicle. It took them just under 2 weeks to give me my refund after I had to constantly chase them for it. I was also receiving emails and letters stating they would be taking money from my account for a car I didn’t even own, let alone wanted anymore. I have only just had this situation sorted this week after a month of an ongoing chase. It’s been an absolute nightmare! I fully understand people make mistakes, etc. but stratstone Harrogate could’ve dealt with it in a whole better way.

A big thank you to Claire Brooks for her fantastic service when purchasing my new Mini. Claire provided weekly updates via email and was always available to answer any queries. My Mini was delivered to the garage on Wednesday and Claire rushed everything through so we could pick the car up on Sunday. The handover was the best one we have ever had, Claire explained everything in great detail. Great customer service!

Test drove a Countryman and everything went smoothly. Andy was very professional throughout and was quick to rectify a small mechanical issue that was highlighted on the test drive. Good communication via phone and emails. Despite not actually purchasing the car from Stratstone I would be happy to visit them again next time we change our vehicle. Recommended.

I initially completed an online enquiry form and was then contacted by Claire Brooks.The process of ordering my exact specifications was easy, initially by phone and then in person at the branch.Claire was very helpful and knowledgeable, she talked through all options with me and made sure I was happy with everything before I signed the paperwork. I was then kept updated about my cars build progress.On collection Claire talked me through the handover and took lots of time to make sure I was happy and confident before driving away. I never felt rushed and nothing was too much trouble.

Clare Brooks at Stratstone mini Harrogate looked after me through my whole experience of buying my beautiful mini x there were a few potholes to overcome ( all because of only having a paper driving license which was my doing ) but she couldn’t of done more to help me get through the forms that needed signing and she explained the whole process from start to finish.Clare was very professional friendly and efficient could not rate her more highly x
