Chimichanga

A pretty cheerful place with the best serving staff in Bishop's Stortford. Food is reasonable and always well prepared and presented and, although the choice remains a bit static, there's enough variety to keep most people happy.A family favourite of ours and it's no coincidence that booking is pretty much essential most evenings, unlike some other Stortford establishments.Recommended

There aren't that many tex-mex places around. But this is a good one. Good, friendly staff. Good food. Not too expensive (but not cheap either). Highly recommend the churro sundae if you have room for dessert.

Food is nice, staff attentive and reasonable price. Not really much more you can ask of a restaurant. Thumbs up.Edit 2 years after initial review:Menu has recently changed and my favourite spicy chicken breast has been removed which is a shame. Hardly anything spicy on the menu now, even the bread starter is gone.The service has gone downhill a bit as they only had one member of staff on Sunday afternoon and he was quite busy so we were waiting a while. Another seated family decided to leave before ordering.Our starter order was misunderstood and also came out with our main course. Not sure I'll continue to visit.

Atmosphere is good with nice looking restaurant area. It was slightly busy and they didn't looked ready for it, it took quite long to be served. When the food arrived it was just Ok. The meatballs were dry and rubbery and the signature Chichanga too was scarse in sauce, weak in taste and with raw onion and peppers. The service was struggling as they were understaffed but friendly.

Absolutely loved the meal. The nachos are delicious. I had the pork chimichanga which was so good.

Not somewhere to celebrate a birthday! Has the feel of a fast food joint! Waited too long, was initially sat at a really cold table by the door. When we asked to move the waiter was irritated and we moved to a spot where the air con was on full blast - none if the women had removed their jackets! Food was unremarkable, my burrito was burnt and the cocktails tasted off :( Toilets - a choice between filthy or full of paper!! The waitress was nice.
