It fit me like a glove and felt like it was made for me. She is very responsive and will go above and beyond to ensure your wedding dress experience is the best. I'm astounded by Tom Van Neerijan's review and I don't believe it, having googled the court case number he provided and seeing nothing... He has had no court case in Coventry or Warwick from what I can see online. If you see his twitter it's obvious he just enjoys complaining. Some of us like to enjoy our lives! I had a wonderful experience of the shop and service from Susan and Aimee.I've just come away from visiting this shop and it was a better experience than I could have dreamt for! The other dresses in the shop were beautiful but she'd put a picture of one online and so I came from London to try it on - even keeping it in the shop for me when the supplier had asked for it back so I could try it on!Sue was refreshingly honest with what could or couldn't be done as I requested a few alterations, and didn't make me feel like I was ever asking for too much. One of my bridesmaids is also getting hitched in a few years and when she saw a dress she loved Sue looked at it and plucked out another for her to try on. She was spot on, it was gorgeous on and a much better fit than the original dress my bridesmaid had pointed out! Sue's years of experience are really invaluable to any bride getting ready for her day & she really goes above and beyond to make sure you look your absoloute best and feel amazing for your big day. After 6 months of wedding planning and being worried I couldn't find anything I liked in my modest budget online, I am so grateful she gave me a real 'bride feeling', I came away elated and would recommend Wedding Gowns by Susan to anyone.

I got engaged in May 2011 and literally a few weeks later went to try a dress on at Sue's shop. Obviously I didn't have an appointment first time I went there and was greeted with a big welcoming 'hello' and a smile. I asked if she had a specific dress in that I'd seen online which she did and pencilled me for an appointment very quickly to try it on. I am a VERY self - conscious person and Sue made me feel at ease straight away, she is very easy going, honest and likes you to have fun whilst trying on your dress. This was the first shop I'd visited, first dress I tried on and instantly loved the dress so we put a deposit on the dress. Sue ordered my Maggie Sottero dress in and has had me in the shop for multiple fitting since it has arrived and even thrown in a free tiara. I've had my final fitting today and picking my dress up after she has pressed it for me on Monday morning. I recommend people to go to this shop, Sue knows her job very well, is very accommodating and makes you feel completely at ease. Slightly gutted I don't get to go back again!

I have been in to Susan's shop 8 years ago and she took one look at me and instantly knew what would suit me and it was perfect! She even helped me decide what colour scheme would be ideal for my dress and it was perfection! My sister is now getting married and I knew I wanted to take her there to see Susan and again she knew straight away what would suit my sister and yet again my sister fell in love with her dress! Susan is amazing and tells you exactly how it is which me and my sister loved! She is very honest and helped us head to toe in styling! She was very accommodating! My sister is over the moon and can't wait to see her in her dress! Thank you Susan for your hospitality your fantastic! X

It's such a shame I have to Wright a bad review. But unfortunately I have no choice.My now wife went to Susan's shop to look for her perfect dress. Susan helped her choose her dress with no problems what so ever. She was very helpful. Alarm bells started to ring when apparently so we were told you can't pay for the dress by card. She only deals with cash !! I no that other people who have dealt with sue has used cards for full payments as well as instalments.So an agreement was made that the deposit was paid there and then by cash. Which was fine. the dress was beautifull. The trouble started when we wanted a bridesmaid dress. So we went in to the shop a couple weeks later and found the dress. Susan advised us that the dress we chose wad British made. The dress was ordered in September and she told us that it would be here before Christmas. Which was fine as we were getting married in April. Sue and her assistant measured our bridesmaid in the shop. Susan also demanded that the dress was to be paid for in full there and then with cash. Rather than a deposit and a final payment like we did with the bride's dress. Regardless we paid in full expecting the dress to be here when promised. However when it got to mid December and the dress was still not here we questioned the delivery date. Only to be told it would not be here untill April as it was coming from China. So much for the British made part. so we asked sue countless times for updates on the delivery. And each reply was if you want it sooner then a fee of £50 would need to be paid. At one point we said we would cancel the order and she kicked off saying you can't do that as it has now been ordered. we didn't pay the extra money for the reasons the dress shouldn't of been from China and we expected it when promised. Sue even blocked communication through Facebook. Eventually the dress arrived in early FebruaryWe asked for the dress to be sent to our bridesmaid to make sure it was all ok. Our bridesmaid lives in Cornwall and is not just down the road and sue knew this. She refused to send the dress down there. When our bridesmaid went for her first fitting she meandered a size 12-14 which is what she is. So we sent the dress down ourselves. On trying the dress on to our shock it was a size 20. So much for the made to measure dress. And this was another reason why i didn't want a dress from China. So we then contacted sue and told her that it is 3-4 sizes to big. When we told her about the dress she said that the people in China would send the nearest size to what we ordered !!! I advised sue that in which case how can the dress be MADE TO MEASURE ?? So we asked her if we sent the dress back to her can she fix it as it was her error. She then wanted a further £60 for alterations including what it would of cost us to send it back. She said she wanted her dress maker to look at the dress at our cost. We communicated for about a week on who should pay for the alterations. In the end sue paid for half and we paid the rest. just wanted to get it sorted. So we got th alterations done in Cornwall by a PROFESSIONAL dress maker. In the end the dress was fine. Once again it is such a shame on giving bad reviews but I dont want anybody else to go through what we did. It seems that the after care and customer service after the money has been handed over is appallingAnd she will be more than happy to help when she wants to. The dress styles in the shop are nice. My 2 stars rating is solely for the wedding dresses and good selection she has. But that's it.

Well what can I say other than when I chose my dress Susan was amazing so helpful picked the perfect dress out for me to suit my shape figure etc.... She had my mother and my grandma in tears as they just fell in love with it. Susan chose me some beautiful wedding jewellery to go with my dress... All I can say is please go and visit Susan's shop she has some beautiful wedding dresses and is also such a very nice kind hearted lady always willing to help and go the extra mile where she can to make your wedding day the perfect day

This was my second dress appointment - i'd just come from a disappointing visit elsewhere where I was made to feel fat and told they didn't really carry things in my size (a 16!) I tried on two too-small dresses, and left.When I arrived at Susan's we were presented with a glass of prosseco and taken up to the room - i immediately saw lots of dresses I liked the look of and got a bit carried away picking them up to try on!Susan was very easy to talk to, and her assistants helped me get into the dresses and were very friendly. She mentioned my size but in a positive way which made me feel good, and was honest with me about whether something looked good on me, without being rude.I loved a lot of the dresses I tried on but I managed to find my dress halfway through, which i tried on three times in between other dresses. She then gave us a HUGE discount of £400 for the dress and a veil, which was very kind! Thank you Susan, I really love my dress and can't wait to get married in it.

Susan Graley is a fraud and a thief. I had to take her to court to get the refund she owed me after she left my wife in tears a week before our wedding with an awful imitation of the display dress we'd paid her £1000 to have made to fit my wife.After waiting months for the dress it arrived 2 weeks late (a week before our wedding), was made from a different, substandard materiel to the display dress, the beading was badly broken and lopsided, it was a fill size too big. Really there were too many problems to list them all.Susan told us it wasn't her problem and that we should take it up with her supplier despite me pointing out that, our contract was with her, not her supplier. My wife convinced her to give us the display dress instead, which had been in her shop and tried on by countless people for at least the 6 months we'd been looking at it and likely a lot longer. She refused to refund us the difference in price between the new dress and a second hand one.I took her to the County Courts under case #3QZ72491 and a judge sided with me and told her she had to refund us the difference. Still she refused. I eventually had to hire high court enforcement officers to get my money back from her.She's an absolute nightmare, she's rude, she's very aggressive and insulting, and she takes advantage of vulnerable woman to turn a profit.Do not buy a dress here if you want your wedding to go smoothly.
