Lastminute Care & Nursing - Lancashire

I have worked for LMC for about 3 years now and they are a great company to work for. The are always willing to help their staff whether that be with hours and location or with any training you may need or want to have. We had moving and handling training held by Natalie from the office she covered all hoist, slings and the equipment that is need for us to be able to assist. Training was very well presented and she always made sure everyone knew and understood before moving on to the next and answered any question we had.

I currently work for this great company, I cannot stress how happy I am with how LastMin treat their staff, I always get my hours I need and if I need help with anything at all wether it be big or small management are always so happy to help me and more to the point promptly. I am so lucky to have a job with this company.

I have lived independently since the age of 19. I am 44 years of age now, I've experience good and bad with many different care agencies over the years. I started with Last minute care in March 2023 and they are one of the best care companies, I've ever had of all the years that I've been living independently. Nothing is too much trouble for the carers and they are very polite and caring. The Office staff are very good with me if I want to change my care hours when want to go out a on night out. This is really good for me because I'm able to still live independently, and live my life the way I want it to be, and I'm very grateful. Because a lot of the care agencies wouldn't be able to do this. A big thank you to Last minute care agency for me to remain to live independently.

My experience with this company is not about the care and nursing it's about some of the staff who come to visit at our property. They come to our car park and smoke and just drop their cigarette butt's on the floor, and we even had a gentleman go into the bin store outside and wee which for me is unacceptable. I did speak with someone at their office but still haven't heard anything back from them.

I witnessed this morning a carer for my dad,asked me for wipes,I asked what for and be said to wipe your dad. I showed him where the bowl was along with clean flannels and directed to downstairs bathroom for water,NEXT thing I saw,was the same carer carry the under bowl of a commode,with water to go and wash my dad...? Seriously???
