My husband has been treated by the burns unit all the staff are amazing friendly and caring both inpatient and as an outpatient, also staff and volunteers around the hospital are all helpful and friendly. The staff in the burns unit made a terrifying experience easier to bear with their compassion. He is currently having OT follow up and they really do go above and beyond all a credit to the NHS - thank you

Just been discharged today from being in Whiston for a week with chronic back, bum and legs muscles spasms. I can not fault the care the staff from the cleaners, tea lady’s, nurses and doctors. They have been magnificent and if I could give them all a huge hug I would. Thank you so much for all you have and continue to do for me. I have been suffering with spasm issues for over 12 years. They have given me the best care I have ever received. Once again thank you for all your kindness and help when I needed it the most. Love Nicola Sadler-Insch Room 17 ward 3B orthopaedics xxx

Tories have a lot to answer for, they have voted in people who have decimated our NHS.Some really nice staff who will go out of their way to help you, but something is seriously wrong. My partner was kept in A&E, in 9/10 severe pain, I had to ask repeatedly and most of the times I asked it seems she hadn't been seen to as soon as she should, waited 14 hours in a chair for a bit of paracetamol I had to end up being assertive to get (screens advertised 6 hour wait time).WHY leave people in pain that long, there were several other clearly left in similar situations even longest than us because they didn't/couldn't chase it up.Why address pain that far into the journey, surely it could be done after triage. Some of the staff seem to lack basic empathy, some get shirty with you because they promised you you'd have pain relief soon" and you chase it up after 3 hours has passed.F that place

Have had to go to Ward 3E as I’ve had hyperemisis with my first pregnancy. Doctors have discharged me whilst I’ve been dehydrated still so I’ve had to go back and forth whilst really ill. Staff just don’t care about the patients especially the doctors. One doctor told me that I needed to be in, and another horrible doctor with a really patronising attitude said there was nothing wrong with me. It’s not about the patients at all it just depends what doctor and nurses you get… my partner tried to put a complaint in about the time they discharged me whilst I was still severely dehydrated, but they were so rude and argumentative we just left. If you want anything from them you have to ask many times (which is difficult to do when so unwell).
