I've been without my car for nearly a month now due to Halfords incompetence. I booked it in on a Friday. They listened to the engine and said I'd have to book it in the following Friday as the engine would need stripping down. The following Friday arrived and I received a call to say they couldn't fix it due to diadnostics/insufficient staff. It took a further 2 weeks to get booked in to a proper garage. Fixed and back to me by 2pm the same day!! I wouldn't trust Halfords to fill my water bottle

I’m UNSAFE in my own car after I left it with them for a routine service. If you will not stay observing what they are doing to your car by yourself then it’s my advice to strictly never leave it with them. The young guy at the reception desk when I talked to them about some of their mistakes that was spotted right there, he told me literally: “you are the one who booked your car in yourself, no one forced you to do so”. Literally unbelievable. Believe me this will not be the last time you hear from me.

i went in to have a new tyre fitted as i had a nail in the original one. while it was there i booked in a oil filter change. i received a phone call stating its ready to be picked up. when i got there i was told a health check was conducted and the battery is showing at a low voltage so it would need changing soon. since picking my car up. i now have a rattle underneath my car (possible exhaust) and my interior fans have cut off! there is no explanation for both of these to have happened all of a sudden. i have never had a problem or rattle and my fans have always been in good working order.

I have had 2 cars in this halfords auto centre and both come out worse than when they went in so booked my car in for 4 new tyres and with in a day I had a wobble on the front so I took my car to a trusted car tyre place near me and had him check the tyres/wheels and they hadn't even balanced my wheels correctly and there was still old weights on the wheels that hadn't been removed so my tyre fitter removed all the weights and rebalanced the wheels and now it perdect

Dropped car off at 8:30 AM, Had to call them for any updates. Was told after 6 hours of the car being there that nothing could be done about a noise on my suspension and to just ‘turn the stereo up’ once it gets worse, Was also quoted £70 for a new water pump as screenwash wasnt working (that they couldnt fit on that day). 6 hours for no work to be done on the car. Then went elsewhere and was told a blown fuse had been located through a diagnostic check and was quoted 1/3 of the price to solve the screenwash issue.

Can't believe the level of attention to a customer request here. I got a puncture on a front wheel and ordered two new tires as was advised it's not fixable although lots of thread left.Left the car with them and came back to find the tires were replaced on rear wheels! OK, they offered free fix and I asked to load old tires as attempted to fix the puncture they didn't
