Bure Valley Railway (Wroxham station)
My daughter and I visited the railway on 4th August and had a lovely one way trip from Aylesham to Wroxham. The Aylesham gift shop has some lovely souvenirs, as well as a range of model railway items. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. The station is very pretty and the trains are gorgeous. The trip was very exciting, especially if you are a steam train fan, as we are. The countryside scenery is really lovely too. We then went on to the Southern Comfort paddle boat for a cruise on the Norfolk Broads. It is possible to take the train back to Aylesham, but we had gone on a day coach tour trip from Cambridgeshire, which took us home after the boat. The train part of the day was easily my favourite and I would have loved to have had more time to browse in the shop. Highly recommended.

I love this place, me my brother my nan and my mum go here every year, it has not changed that much form 2012 but some things are different, the place were you can look at little trains go around has been shut unfortunately and Thomas has been replaced by Toby but its a nice place to go if you want to go on a steam engine get things form the shop and eat some food

Lovely journey of you like steam trains, also if visiting by boat a short walk from Wroxham Bridge. Staff very friendly, all journeys are with a steam locomotive. Shop and cafe very nice and modelers paradise. At the Wroxham end there is a huge bookshop and memorabilia.

Great day, everyone was so helpful and friendly. The coffee shop at Aylsham had lovely cakes and hot chocolate. Love the steam engines and carriages. Worth the fares. Would suggest booking on line as the tickets can go quickly.

Nice station. Not as much going on as the other station but there is still a little shop and a book/record shop to look in. Seeing the turntable in action here is cool. It's a little walk to the town center from the station and there is parking nearby. Definitely give this cool little train a ride at least once.

We visited while on holiday in Norfolk we enjoyed it so much we, we took our daughter and grandson 4 weeks later. Book online for tickets in advance. The ride took about 45 mins, and there is about an hour at the other end if you want to come straight back to Wroxham, or you can come back later but book the return journey at the same time you buy the tickets. There is a lovely cafe at the other end and a good model railway shop. There is also a nice picnic area.

The Bure Valley Railway (BVR) is a 15 inch (381 mm) narrow gauge visitors' attraction in Norfolk, England. The railway, Norfolk’s second longest heritage railway, is built on part of the track bed of the East Norfolk Railway and was opened on 10th July 1990. Running from Wroxham to Aylsham (9 miles or 14.5 kilometres) there are halts at Brampton, Buxton and Coltishall, using both steam and diesel locomotives. In May 2022, the BVR won the Heritage Railway Association's Award for Environmental Innovation for running trials contributing to the development of a sustainable coal replacement for steam locomotives on heritage railways a year earlier. No better way to arrive on the Broads.
