Hand Forged Yorkshire
Had an amazing day with Dave. Real passionate for what he does and is an excellent teacher. He gave real clear instructions broken down into a few steps at a time to make them easy to follow. He has a great balance between watching what your doing and standing back to allow you to get on with it. He was always happy to answer questions and help whenever needed.I couldn't recommend this course enough.

I bought the kitchen knife making day for me and my Dad for Fathers day and have just been and completed it early July 2023.It was fantastic, Dave is a great teacher and clearly passionate about what he does and getting you the best result you can from your day. My Dad was clear it was the best present he has had in many many years!

Hand Forged Yorkshire
Went here for two workshops with my partner. One was a resin making workshop and the other was a knife making workshop (in which we used the resin blocks as the knife handle). Dave was a patient and extremely talented instructor who guided us through the knife making process. If you are even slightly interested in any of the workshops on offer here I would wholeheartedly recommend booking it. The finished product is amazing and the workshop itself was a fantastic experience.

The knife making experience was a gift for my father in law and I. It was a great day. Dave is an excellent tutor, knowledgeable, patient and passionate about his art. I was amazed at the end result and really pleased to have something handmade, useful and a momento of the day. Would highly recommend. Thanks

Had a full day of creating our own knife. David Brearey was our tutor and delivered over 6 hours of informative and passionate tuition into the art of creating literally a work of art. From sculpting and crafting a piece of 1092 carbon steel to shaping and sanding a magnificent piece of Black English Walnut I ended up with a work tool to be proud of. I have no hesitation in recommending Hand Forged Yorkshire to anyone in need of a totally uplifting and thoroughly rewarding day. Chris G.

We had a great day making our kitchen knives. David is a really good instructor, very friendly, helpful and knowledgable.We started with blanks of steel and wood and at the end of the day had two lovely-looking kitchen knives. David took us through all the steps from choosing the handle wood to bevelling the blades to the heat treatments and finally polishing and sharpening the knives.Highly recommended, a great day out.
