Beautiful place. We spent a lot of time at this place. Parking spaces are available. Beautiful swans and ducks at the lake. You can feed them grains that they have kept there.The walk along the area is also very nice. We went in December and it was cold but still worth going.

I have been going to Bowness-on-Windermere from being a young lad when me and my friends used to come upon our Motorbikes in the bank holidays back in the 80’s.We used to go to a night club, which I think was called The Wheel House, great times.Now I visit with my family. It’s an enchanting and beautiful place regardless of what time of year you visit.The town itself has great places to shop and there is a wide range of restaurants and pubs to suit all tastes.On the whole Bowness it a great place to stay and use as a base to explore further in to the Lake District.

A beautiful place but very busy in all weather. There is lots of places you can eat from and boat rides for you to do. You have swans everywhere, even on the pavement..

Central hub to start your lake cruises aboard vessels such as Swift and Tern. We've enjoyed the evening cruise aboard Swift to take in the sunset and cruises aboard Tern to take Lakeside to see the aquarium and to Waterhead for Ambleside.The best way to enjoy the sights on Lake Windermere.
