Rockwood Dog Training

I highly recommend this company.Previously I had been to four dog trainers before this company, with my reactive dog. I had put so much money and time into different trainers, without any success. I was then recommended this company Rockwood. After 3 one to one sessions, I can now finally take my dog on walks around people, with no reactivity.We are over the moon to say the least.Ellen has now changed our lives. She is an amazing trainer, and we will continue to use this company to progress in obedience and dog sports.Thank you Ellen.

Rockwood training has been the best training course we have ever taken part in! From being nervous of walking my dog due to poor training previously with another dog to now enjoying and wanting to walk my dog all the time that has been in rockwoods training. No only do they focus on the dogs confidence they also help build owners confidence with techniques. All classes were professionally organised and friendly! Ellen in class also takes her time and helps 1-1 when needed making you not feel embarrassed when your dog is not behaving or listening. Also going to a training centre with a behaviourist with many years worth of experience and knowledge you know that your dog will be trained to the best it can be. Quality for the money you pay!

Went there for puppy training and now we are spending time and money to resolve the issues caused by Rockwood trainers... Over 20 puppies for a class, trainer shouting directions from the middle of poorly managed hall. No support and directions. Dogs are allowed to interact or rather - go crazy playing in the middle of class which makes them all overstimulated. This puppy interaction" feels more like a time filler for trainers to chat. When my dog started barking out of overstimulation

Avoid and find yourself a real trainer. Only went once today with my pup and wouldn't ever go back. Her methods are extremely questionable and will make your dog have issues they never had. Also if you have a breed like an bully be prepared for your dog to be singled out and treated differently.. Id give 0 stars if possible i wonder if she even actually qualified

Amazing trainers and facilities. I have been going there for nearly 4 years with my German Shepard for puppy, beginners, intermediate and advanced obedience and agility training. If you want your dog sociable, obedient and to really enjoy themselves, Rockwood is the place to take them.

Ellen and her team are amazing, my dog has come on leaps and bounds since coming here. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them!

Ellen is a fantastic trainer. I have taken both my dogs to her for 121 advice and also to the classes. She has a wonderful way with the dogs and gets them feeling comfortable and confident within no time. She has helped me to understamd my dogs’s needs and how to help overcome their barriers. I would definitely recommend Ellen to anyone who needs that little support in training their dogs.

My dog loves it here Ellen is so helpful with food advice training help and helping me understanding and reading my dog. When I now take my dog to class I can see how much he have come on. I wouldn’t go to anyone else she is there for your dog but also there for u as a dog handler can’t thank her enough. She deserves a million star reviews not just 5 just from me and and dog I can’t thank her enough x

Ellen and her team are out of the world my dog is now 2 years old and I’ve had the most wonderful experience with my dog any problem Ellen is always there to help and the little problems have been sorted. The help and support is outstanding. It takes time and effort but with Ellen behind me 100% I now have the confidence and my dog is happy. And to have people say to me when out walking how well behaved my dog is and ask me to train there’s just makes me so proud. Without the help of Ellen I would not be where I am today. Nice people but not the right class for my dog. Lots of dogs at any one time which in hindsight was too much for mine. Propups in Cardiff was alot better for us & calmer. My dog is lively, bit reactive & a bit if a handful. I was hoping this would help but it wasn't a good fit. Trainers were helpful but if you have a live wire, excitable, slightly nervy dog I doubt the classes will calm them which is what I wanted. I found a quieter class got better results for us. If your dog is good in the company of others & you know what you are doing then it's OK.
