Ace Windows

Poor quality work, burst outside wall totally when removing old windows and left without mentioning it. Put plastic surrounds inside on my dry wall when I specifically requested them not. Patio door had a gap at bottom . There is so much silicon on the outside of the windows it looks appalling .was advised to withhold £500 by the windows advice centre until snagging list completed. State the didn’t receive snagging list from windows advice centre. Had to phone them to come out in the end after waiting 3 months, and then received a final demand for money almost immediately. poor service, just excuses. The windows are nice, shame about everything else

Eight windows installed January 2014 cost circa £4,000.Noticed windows were faulty mid-2017, ingress of rain, destroying two rugs approx £100 also, couldn't lock windows.Various visits by Ace Windows failed to resolve the numerous issues and damaged window blind costing me another £186.On 13th July 2018 an independent report was commissioned by Mr B of Glass and Glazing, this proved the windows were faulty and not fit for purpose, this was given to Ace Windows.Subsequently, Steven Harrigan a Director of Ace Windows visited my house and was met me and my witness, Mr. McG, Manager of Your First Advocacy, Causeyside Street, Paisley. Mr Harrigan agreed to send his staff to resolve the issues the following Monday morning at 8.30am by removing the glass and attending to the windows as per the window report by Mr. B.Received a phone call on the Monday fitters were due, to say they wouldn’t be keeping appointment. Instead I was advised a gentleman would be coming to my house to examine the windows, as Ace wanted another opinion.Man turned up on the agreed date (early), refused to give me his details (name etc.). After examining the windows and stating the fitters from Ace were incompetent, he produced a drill-driver and explained he was going to drill new holes in the windows. I informed him I didn’t want that done as I was intending to put the flat back on the market when the faulty windows were repaired. He assaulted me by manhandling me away from the windows twice, I left the room in tears and went into the kitchen.I called Ace windows the next day to ascertain the name of the man who assaulted me. I spoke with a lady who assured me someone would call me back, no one did.Following this I've had various people contact Ace Windows to resolve this situation. To date, they have not sorted the issues with the faulty windows or provided the details of the person who assaulted me.Ace Windows advise the guarantee for the windows they install is for 10 years insurance backed! This is on their web site.I’m now 81 years old and have had to try and resolve this situation on my own, I have tried every legal avenue open to me, but have had no success as Ace Windows refuse to co-operate. These people have zero interest in customer service and resolving this situation, in my opinion shouldn’t be supplying windows. They are not FENSA registered and Steven Harrigan has actually left a review against his own company pretending to be a customer. What does that tell you about this company?Having tried to deal with this myself for the last 4 years, I’m at my wits end and have now informed my sons (who live in England) of this situation. One of them had a friend write an email to Ace Windows asking about a window installation a few weeks ago, to which they responded immediately. He then sent them an email on the 15th March 2021 asking them for the details of the person who assaulted me to forward to the Police, and for a settlement figure to allow me to get these windows replaced or made good. To date AS USUAL no answer has been received. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY.

We have recently had Ace Windows replace all the windows in our house and they have done a brilliant job. They are clean, tidy and the joinery work is fantastic and most importantly the windows look amazing. I would have no hesitation in recommending them,

Replaced our windows today great job and great price staff were professional polite and left our house spotless when finished. The boys were a pleasure to have around again as they did our door a few years ago that's why we knew we would get them to do our windows

I generally only leave reviews if I'm dissatisfied with purchase, but I felt compelled to give Ace Windows a glowing review. They removed and installed 16 new sash windows and the results are fantastic. It was a huge investment in our property and they did not disappoint. A team of 5 friendly guys turned up on time, were very courteous and considerate over the 2 day install. The quality of the windows is superb and the directors son came out to check that I was satisfied upon completion. We were able to go to the showroom in Paisley and see the product in person prior to paying the deposit and the installed windows are exactly as we expected. The clean up was immaculate with a dedicated guy called William went the extra mile to ask if there was anything else he could help with. I'd highly recommend Ace Windows. the only problem is, we were so looking forward to getting our new windows and now they are installed we need a new project in our property to look forward to.

the 2fitters arrived at the time stated and where masked . They removed the five front windows and refitted them with no mess as they cleared up after themselves they had their lunch while they worked. The next day they arrived and did the same at the rear of the house they were very professional and I would recommend them as a very good company

Two new doors. One wouldn't shut properly. At least 4 visits to fix and this included unanswered phonecalls resulting in an email being sent to get somebody. Still not fixed. Phoned again(1.5 years after installation). Greeted with quote 'last time I was there it was working like a dream'. Wouldnt lock properly by this time with 3 kids in house wouldn't do anything until 3 days later. Obviously realised we could be in big trouble if anything happened so phoned back and said the actual fitters would be out however if door was fine i would be charged! Surprise surprise the door was way out of alignment and needed properly fixed which they did. Numerous phonecalls inconvenience trying to get someone in and only did what they should have done 1.5 years ago when they thought they could be liable. Won't be using again.

I phoned Ace Windows and got a budget quote over the phone for windows. The price seemed fair so I booked an appointment for someone to come out to measure the windows and to provide an actual quote. The appointment was between 10.30am and 11.30am. Received a call at 10.45am on the day of the appointment to say they couldn't make it. Was disappointed that the appointment was cancelled, but more so by the late notice. I knew the person who was supposed to come out was going on holiday for a week, so I expected a phone call to re-arrange around a week later. I did not receive a call. I therefore phoned them and explained that my last appointment had been cancelled at the last minute. The woman I spoke to told me someone would call me back in around an hour. That was a week ago and I have never had a call. As such, I cannot comment on the standard of windows or workmanship, but I can comment on their customer service which in my experience has been extremely poor.
