As a family of novice dog owners Alasdair's advice for our new puppy was invaluable. He shared great tips and advice on many areas including walking & training and we found it particularly helpful that he visited us in our own home. Advice was therefore really tailored to our circumstances; within a few hours of putting tips in practice toilet training was like night and day! We also benefited from having the whole family involved in the training.Alasdair is extremely professional, friendly and patient and we will definitely have him on stand by as our journey with our puppy progresses. I called Alasdair to help me learn to control, in public, my rescued Frenchie Dotty. From the start he was reassuring and supportive both to Dotty and myself. He quickly grasped Dottys temperament and was able to provide effective training and within a few months we were able to walk comfortably and confidently around Milngavie. We still have some small flair ups from time to time but with the training Alasdair provided I know how to manage those situations so our days out are no longer ruined

Very happy with all the help Alasdair has given/taught us. Completely changed our walks on and off lead and massively chilled our dog out making walks so much more enjoyable, meeting other dogs and having a much better recall. Before our training we would actively avoid dogs and go in the opposite direction and after a good few months of work it is now the exact opposite!!! Over the moon

Alasdair came out to help with our puppy Bailey on improving his recall and overall walking. We had 2 sessions with Alasdair and both went brilliantly. The way Alasdair was with bailey was amazing to see as Bailey is a timid dog but out walking the way he was able to get Bailey to listen to him had showed us that we had a great dog we just needed to be more confident in ourselves. After both sessions I can say that he has massively improved our confidence for off lead walking and just in general approaching other dogs with Bailey knowing how we should act to keep him calm and also how to we can get him back to us from off lead walking. Alasdair was flexible with coming out to meet us and kept in touch to make sure the times and dates were still suitable, he was always on time for his appointments and his prices were brilliant and competitive. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for some further dog training and we will definitely be using him for any future training.

I was directed to dogsandpups by a local puppy training class after bringing home an 8 month old, untrained, Wire Fox terrier. Anyone familiar with this breed knows that they have a strong will and quite a lot of energy. This particular dog had spent most of his time being considered for showing and not really trained or socialised. He presented slightly more unusual challenges than most pups, taken on later in life.I was a little overwhelmed initially, despite having had 2 foxterriers previously and I found dogsandpups really helpful, patient and reassuring.
