I would actually give it 0 stars if I could. Where do I start went for first session in a taxi £15 each way. Wasn't worth it as it was hi hello how are you come back next week. So I did a phone interview to save taxi fare on my 2nd session. Useless then she was off on annual holiday fare enough then next one was cancelled as she was sick. And because I never done my heirachy homework they told me I was no longer allowed on talk Liverpool. Well should actalually be shut down for wasting peoples time I'm 49 years old and getting given homework challenges. Tried it and went in with an open mind and got to admit I agree with the others and with the reviews on here. I got sent to talk Liverpool and would never waste my time again

My experience with TL: If you need help you won't find it here.Waited 6 weeks to take a course that told me all the things I already know.Went to a group therapy with about 15 others. Learnt everything I already knew (again). Got a CBT appointment out the blue a year later with 2 days notice. Tried to re-arrange that appointment (twice) got a continuous beep for 40 seconds. (No email for social anxiety disorders)I am now going to be assumed not interested and that chance is now wasted.Been feeling pretty awful during all this time and been to A&E twice. I have received no help yet from the length I have been with this service. Funny how people giving 5 star reviews actually got therapists or councillors assigned to them. Guess they were the chosen ones.Disappointed.

Had connectivity issues on first call, almost completed call, we were at safety planning. The clinician never call back, I Attempted to call back, the number rang out. No other way to contact and have been discharged. Good luck to anyone who actually want help, if you give them ANY reason to discharge they will

I have been struggling with anxiety, and the GP referred me to TalkLiverpool. Now the whole CBT on Silvercloud has been completed, but it's more about just identifying the problems. Unfortunately, I don't find them practical enough to help me (there are barely practical advices/examples for you). I had already waited for several months for this CBT and it turned out to be quite a disappointment. As I now need further help, I am on another waiting list which is expected to be 28 WEEKS—what a shame. I am still grateful for Cassie who has been kind and helpful, but I'm NOT satisfied with the therapy itself. The lack of practitioners is also a big problem, probably the reason why we all have to wait for ages.

Absolutely shocking service. Partner self referral from her GP. Told a 6-month wait, initial assessment within 60-days. Then nothing, followed back up after 10 months and told they have lost all her details and she would have to wait another 12-months.

Worst service I've ever received.I had to cancel an appointment due to being unwell, I rang prior to cancel and was told that I would be rang to rearrange the appointment.Next thing was a letter through the door to say I'd be discharged from the service.The actual therapist (rosemarie jones) clearly couldn't care less. And I haven't heard anything from talkliverpool regarding why I've been discharged.Disgusting treatment that just makes me never want to ask them for help again.

Genuinely surprised to see so many negative reviews here, as my experience with Talk Liverpool for extreme anxiety was exceptional- the therapy ranged over two counsellors, who were both very attentive, courteous and warm in dealing with my issues, as well as organised, punctual and efficient in keeping appointments and getting the most we could out of them. Also, while I was initially given a long waiting period after referral, it only turned out to be like 2 weeks before they contacted me to start treatment. Basically, I was in pain and these folks helped me, so if you're suffering I would stress that you're not alone and you should reach out

As a healthcare professional who previously worked for years in Liverpool, I know for a fact that this service has helped countless patients. I now live in a country where people pay a lot of money for these types of psychological therapies, so I would encourage people to appreciate the free access to invaluable psychological care.
