This place has been open for a while now so it was time to try it as our normal place was closed.Resturant was welcoming with a great buzz for a Tuesday night.Great Menu, the gentleman came over and told us about the specials and what was off the menu. (On a side note the black marker pen used to cross off dishes on the 86 list, maybe in-house printing)Great drink selection, school nite so we stuck to Zero-Zero Beer.Mussels starts. 10/10Great flavour and the bread was out of this world.Pizzas 10/10If you LOVE PIZZA then you need to try this place.Staff friendlyOver all this place rocks.Heated discussion on the way home if it’s now our number 1 pizza placesThank you Team.We will be back

Yummy pasta at Castellum Pizzeria. An authentic Italian experience with traditional dishes and Italian music. House Red was delicious. If you want decent Italian food go here, not to the chains.Staff very friendly and professional too.

We enjoyed our Castellum pizzas so much that we returned two days later to try their pasta! The food is incredibly tasty and fresh, and the staff are so friendly. 100% recommend!

Amazing experience that started literally the second we stepped in. Lovely staff (especially Paul), very friendly, told us all about the specials on the day and gave recommendations. Food tasted amazing and the venue is beautiful. We will definitely be back

Bill for 3 of us starters, mains and drinks was £99, food was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again.Sat in the garden, which in the hot weather of late was most pleasant!

We had a great experience in this restaurant.Was our first time in Whitstable and we fancied Italian and we truly made a great choice.The starters were excellent.For the main we had a bit of issue as my husband wanted to remove salame from the calzone but that was not possible which was a bit disappointing, but on the end we both had a great dish which we enjoyed very much.The prices were a bit higher but still was worth it.

My family and I have been regulars of Castellum since they opened, singing their praises to everyone we know. The waitress took our order, including my daughters request for an Ortolana pizza without cheese as she doesn’t like it. The waitress said ‘so no mozzarella then’, only for us to remind her there was Parmesan on an Ortolana as well. When our food eventually arrived, a different waitress brought her a Diavola with cheese. Obviously not what a vegetarian person who doesn’t like cheese would order. After telling her it was the wrong pizza, the owner came over to tell us that we had ordered a Diavola with cheese, that the waitress had checked the order, and that she should eat it. Alternatively, we would have to wait for everyone else in the restaurant to receive their orders before my daughter would receive her original order. All four of us were stunned, particularly as we were being blamed for the waitress’s mistake - and the rudeness of the owner was absolutely shocking. We were told that if we weren’t happy with the Diavola, we should just leave. Lovely to be treated so well, particularly as a loyal long-term customer. A real shame, but there are plenty of great food options in Whitstable where you won’t be treated so rudely.

This is our favourite restaurant in Whitstable. We come here regularly. Very cosy atmosphere, fantastic warm and friendly service and fabulous food. The pizzas are some of the best I have tasted outside of Italy, and they very kindly make a pre-ordered salad for my wife (they should put it on the menu!) I would thoroughly recommend.

Second visit to Castellum - again, really amazing pizza and pasta. Wonderfully fresh ingredients, and beautifully presented: my pizza was like a work of art (see below)! Strongly recommend visiting.
