There are three separate areas to this park and all three have different characters, as well as different carparks. The £3 a day carpark is the one at Yarner Wood and the NNR offices. Great big area to walk but all over the sides of a pretty good hill so it you want a walk on the level it's not for you. The right side as you look from the carpark is a little less interesting and quite humid while the left side (south) is more open well established trails and so many you could go around in circles if you don't have a map. Dogs must be kept on a lead. The second wood is called either Bovey Valley Wood or Pullbrook Wood, tucked away just south of the bridge north of Pullabrook Farm. Nice circular route along the river and back the other side, all flat and level, nice easy walking about 2.7 miles. Dogs can be off-lead but watch out for the areas marked as having ponies and keep a dog on the lead there.Haven't tried the other area(s) yet but will do that next time. All in all, a great area to get some fresh air and exercise for all ability levels, highly recommended!

Open mixed woodland. Very few people there, even on Good Friday!!

There's a small car park here (£3 for all day) and a public toilet. Maps available or good phone signal to just use GPS. Wonderful ancient woodland and we had a great family walk spotting so many different types of fungi (The Seek app is brilliant for spotting and naming). Lots of gravel tracks, most of which would be a bit rough and too steep for a child's pushchair or wheelchair. Well worth a visit if you prefer to be away from the crowds and get out in the fresh air.

What a great place to walk. Makes you feel like your in the Jungle with all the ferns growing everywhere. The stream running through was awesome.

Stopped to walk the dog and was a great find. Main drawback is the provided walk around the woods is poorly described and not marked. The place is full of Tiktok markers that are not referenced? I'll give the benefit of doubt and hope this is in the process of change

Beautiful scenery! Lovely walk with the dog! A few steep hills, so make sure you are able to manage it!
