My wife and daughter dropped in to purchase a specific item, and thanks to Ellis they were able to find what they wanted on sale. Edinburgh is extremely commercial and many stores carry the exact same product but this store does have some distinctive items. Lost a star because the first woman they dealt with was rude and flippant. About a 12 minute walk from the base of the castle.

One of the last Scottish knitters of cashmere, unfortunately rather than sticking( or at least offering ) classic knits of various sizes and colours they’ve gone down the “fashion “ route of concentrating on spring /summer collections for youngsters . Let the their quality do the talking and train your assistants to explain the difference when comparing to the ubiquitous Chinese knits. Not inspiring!
