Barn Pool Beach
Love this beach. It has a lovely picnic area with tables. Behind a large pond with baby ducks. I loved coming here since a child. I've had some great memories.My father used to own a boat and came over as a family.Its ideal for families .Ideal for a walking. Lots of lovely scenery.It's over looks drake island.You can catch a ferry over from stone house to amount edgeclombeMountedgeclombe grounds and house.its A short walk around to the beach.Highly recommend.

Good little place to stop with a boat and have a swim or go on the beach. Water fairly clear depending on weather.

A beautiful spot for a picnic with fantastic views. Mount Edgecombe park as a whole is marvellous and a must for all locals and travellers alike. And for those who are interested in a little history...Barn Pool is where Darwin's Beagle was moored before it set out on its historic voyage.

Very serene beach. Overlooking the bay, a bit rocky. Some picnic benches helps to add magic to this beach. The grassy fields overlooking it are also ideal for families. No food sold here.

Barn Pool Beach
A gorgeous pebbled beach on a scenic footpath of Mount Edgcombe. The beach is well kept, wonderful for skimming rocks over the sea and the sea views of Plymouth and Drake's Island are absolutely marvellous. Just behind the beach are picnic tables for free use as well as a flat grassy area, serving a fantastic area of rest on a family day out.Would recommend a visit to anyone, well worth it!

Barn Pool Beach
Gorgeous views of Plymouth Sound and not a bad swim if you don't mind the stones, sea weed, the odd tin floating past and a jelly fish or two. Better at high tide but the beach is a bit steep so probably best avoided with little kids.

Brilliant place to visit on the edge of mount edgecome, rolling hills down to the waters edge through woods suitable to take your dog.
