St. Marys Church, Farleigh
A enchanting old church hidden away down a country lane. A relatively small but characterful churchyard with a fantastic yew tree, which is definitely worth a look.

A beautifully tucked away, small Norman church. The oldest in Surrey. Nicely maintained by local volunteers. Plenty of walks nearby, some of which take you to the Harrow pub ☺Well worth the visit and a walk.

The church is very pretty inside. I've passed the building several times over the last twenty years when out walking, but it is the first time I discovered it open.

One of my favourite churches in the area. Secluded and snug in its little pocket of trees, the little church is very distinctive and sits in beautiful countryside very close to London. Parking is really tricky though! The gate has always been shut when I've visited, and the signs in the lane make it clear your visiting car is not welcome. There's a muddy strip at the bottom of the lane, but it is often already full.

A beautiful medieval church built in c1100 in a beautiful country side. It’s a grade 1 listed building. It was closed due to covid situation but will visit soon again when the dust settles

St. Mary's Church is well known locally for its friendliness and welcoming atmosphere, for its history and for its weekly worship at 9.30 a.m. every Sunday, which uses traditional language and enthusiastic singing. It is equally renowned for its delicious tea and cakes served every Sunday from June to September between 2.30 and 5 p.m. There are excellent country walks all around.

Beautiful ancient church. One of my favourite places. Attended Compline service on a Sunday evening. Church was lit by candles

Lovely quaint little church hidden down a quite little country lane. A little gem and well worth a visit. Tea and cakes available on Sundays from 2.30pm - 5pm starting 5 June (see att.). Compline by candlelight services on Sundays at 8pm (see att.). Would definitely recommend a visit.

Delectable little Norman church, hidden up a dead-end country lane with no village. It is accompanied by an ancient yew, which may be older than it.Under renovation when I visited (May 2019), with the workmen in. I would be interested as to whether the church is kept open for visitors after the work is finished, since the team ministry responsible for it keep seem to keep others in their care locked up. I hope I'm mistaken...
