Paula sorted out a tailoring issue I had, a great professional and friendly service at a reasonable price, just exactly what I needed.

I can not praise Paula highly enough! I rang her from the North East of England on the Monday about taking up a dress coat needed at my daughter's wedding- reception the following Saturday. She could not have been more accommodating! We delivered the coat , out of hours, on the Tuesday night, where she did the necessary fitting and collected it on the Friday, perfectly taken up and professionally hemmed! The standard of her work is excellent and her whole attitude toward us was friendly, welcoming and helpful.Her charges are extremely reasonable too.I would recommend her, without reservation, to anyone who wants an outstanding tailoring job doing by a friendly and considerate lady. Recently moved into the area but already had my dress, I am so glad I found Paula. From the first appointment I felt really comfortable, she walked me through what she thought needed to be done and I had two follow up appointments to make sure the length was just right as well as discussing different options for the bust etc. Paula did an excellent job in altering the length of what was a lot of skirt and layers! She also made some great recommendations of how to get it to sit well by adding stitches, and created a bustle. I thought Paula was very reasonable in her rates and I was thrilled with the fit of the dress - perfect! Thank you!

Paula altered a bridesmaid dress and a dress that was too big for me. The finish on both dresses was brilliant, you couldn't even see they had been altered.Fab service and very reasonably priced.

Paula did such an incredible job with alterations on my wedding dress and my bridesmaid dresses last year. After visiting other seamstresses who said taking the length off my bridesmaid dresses would be too difficult, Paula not only sorted the length and shoulder fit with ease and precision, but she even managed to completely change the fitting on one of the dresses from a zip to corset back! The attention to detail was second to none and the dresses fitted absolutely perfectly. Thank you so much Paula, you did an absolutely impeccable job and took a lot of stress away from the big day!

Not impressed with the quality of customer service. Extremely rude to my mother-in-law and made an unprofessional comment about her dressing being cheap and “that’s what you get”. It’s a demeaning and uncalled for comment that left my MIL very upset. Against her better judgement she proceeded to pay for her dress and 3 bridesmaid dresses to be altered. Only 1/4 of the dresses were altered correctly, when Paula was politely contacted by my MIL she wasn’t helpful or constructive and more or less told her that she should try to hold the sash on the dress straight while doing it up and that it was a necessary alteration. The amendments were needed but it was done incorrectly with one side of a dress being taken too high, the other wasn’t taken up to match and all 3 of the dresses weren’t taken in enough around the chest and were still gaping. There was a fray on the back of my MIL’s dress where a button was added and overall it looks like little care was put in to the dresses, her unhelpful responses have left the bride 4 weeks before her wedding stressed, upset and having to arrange for a different seamstress to fix the issues. I try to avoid writing negative reviews however I feel this whole experience has been disappointing. The passive aggressive comments, the poor amends and the lack of customer care has left a poor taste in my mouth. I hope the right thing is done and the bride is offered a refund since she didn’t get what she paid for.
