The Ewe & Lamb
As it say's on the sign outside ' A proper village pub ' and it certainly was just that . A quaint pub in a quiet area , with drinks and good food served at reasonable prices .Nice clean spacious inside which had a lovely charm about it . Outside seating at the front of the property . Staff really friendly and helpful . We were advised about a little wait for food , but it came quicker than expected . The food was absolutely fresh and delicious . The pot for the chips didn't appear big BUT when tipped out it was plentiful, and SUPER tasty too . A great find when searching for pubs in the area that we were visiting.

Wanted to eat, and the bar person ignored us when we arrived. Another bar person arrived, and we were told that they had stopped serving.People looked us up and down when we walked in, that feeling of not being welcome was reinforced by the staff attitude.

Probably the best kept secret in this part of Kent. Truly superb food and ale and friendly helpful service. It is the country pub of choice for the Kentish Canes Angling Club…keep up the good work Elsie and George… we enjoy coming to see you!

Our great, sort of local pub, from Wittersham, 6 adults 3 toddlers 2mnth baby and 2 dogs, all looked after and fed with lovely food and wine. Great staff. We all had the roast.

The Ewe & Lamb
A very good local pub with a lovely atmosphere and good food. We came across it by accident and were glad that we did. Food was lovely. Caprese salad was really nicely dressed with lots of heritage tomatoes. Pork chop from the grill was big and juicy with a cooked apple and grilled broccoli. Desserts loked great. Must come back when not on low carbs! Specially to try the crumble! People at the bar chatting and you could sit outside too. Enhances the village I should think.

Fabulous meal at this lovely, country pub. Really generous portions and beautifully cooked food, great choice too.In our party we had the haddock ( brought fish & chips to another level!) Pie of the day ( chicken, ham & leek on our day, delicious!) Burgers chosen by the children ( the best burger I've ever had

Really lovely pub with a warm welcome for us and our dogs. Four of us had lunch here on Saturday and everyone's food was excellent, with a good selection of gluten free options. My friend was delighted that there was a GF burger bun! Highly recommended.

Nice country pub, but could do with some tiding up, beer garden shabby with dead flowers in all the planters and glasses left on tables. Some much better pubs in the area.
