Used by professional chefs at restaurants such as Fallow in London for their knife sharpening, so you can't go wrong with this place! Obviously the knives they sell here aren't cheap but you are talking absolute top end, high quality professional knives.

If you want to get your knives sharpened and repaired brilliantly well, this is the place to go. Having used other shops that offer a similar service, I can honestly say the customer service and attention to detail here is unmatched. The only downside is they are so good at what they do, often you have to wait a short while for your knives to be ready (as they are so busy). I cannot recommend them highly enough!

An incredible experience. I've bought two knives from Kataba now and I get so much joy every time I use them to cook. The whole experience in the shop is top tier from the moment you walk in, along the whole back wall is just a waist to ceiling wall of knives and the owner whose name I forget has taken great time both times I have bought a knife to take me through the options and offer his honest thoughts. You get the first sharpening free and they hone the knife specifically to which hand you use to chop with!

GREAT little store!a warm and welcome feeling as you enter this authentic Japanese store.the staff, all lovely, kind and extremely helpful. the lady that assisted me was absolutely wonderful.the knives themselves all hand crafted and imported from Japan.different types of steel, shapes and sizes.truly professional craftsmanship as these might aswell be pieces of art.MUST RECOMMEND for anyone who's seriously interested in their cooking(i hope the censored picture of staff is okay otherwise I will edit the review and delete the picture!)

Had my first visit to the Knife Shed today!Wow!The shop is fantastic.The knifes are absolute works of art!Yotichi is a master. Full of knowledge! Very patient to spend time exploring and explaining the blades and the workmanship behind them.Cannot wait to return for another blade and a sharpening course in the next few months.
