Care Fertility

My husband and I travelled from Hertfordshire to Care Northampton and whilst I don't have experience of going to any other clinics, I am glad we chose this one. After a long wait for a GP, and gynaecologist referral the process was so quick, smooth and transparent at Care. The nurses in particular were brilliant, super helpful and kind, and although you can't alway get through on the phone, I know that is because they are busy with others and my call was always returned same day.The collection didn't result in as many successful embryos as we hoped but we were able to proceed with an ET and whilst we have a long way to go we got a positive result! I had a worrying period like bleed on a weekend after ET but before my first scan. I called the out of office nurses number and spoke with Lucy, who was so calm and reassuring whilst I was in the middle of a meltdown on the other end of the line. We were quickly booked in the next day for an early scan and were told the baby was safe and doing well, they then booked us in for a follow up scan to ensure everything was still okay a week or so later, which it was.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend others to Care Northampton.

We had a really good experience, the journey itself wasn’t as straight forward as we hoped but the nurses and the team always found a way of reassuring us it was still ok, taking the time to speak to us after appointments to explain each step and reassure us that if it took a bit longer it didn’t mean that was a bad thing. They were very friendly and compassionate and made me feel at ease and never rushed which was great. I was also quite glad to see they followed up to check how I was feeling post transfer.

My wife and I had a brilliant and positive experience at Care Northampton. The staff are so so friendly and we felt incredibly supported throughout the entire process. Care Northampton made what is a long and daunting process feel less difficult and straightforward. We would recommend it to anyone! We now have a beautiful 2 week old babygirl as well as 5 blastocyst embryos in the freezer. Without a doubt a 5/5.

Me and my husband have been going through ICSI cycle, very caring, very lovely staff. They really do care for you. We are so grateful to everyone at the clinic.

Impossible to reach them out over the phone. 16 minutes waiting then the phone was put aside. This happened multiple times. Along that, other communication is poor, my way or by way. Here is a thing. You go there, do your part and ask nicely guys, results are important we all waiting for you downstream. Understood, cool. Next day I’ve got a phone call; your results are POSTED. I mean, you have a damn computer system, can you upload there so the GP can see the thing? NO. Can I drive in, you give it to my hand? NO. Email for God’s sake? Is the 21st century, everything is the cloud and if I send a picture now, anybody around the world can have it within 0.1 second. NO. WE SEND YOUR GP A DAMN PAPER VIA POST and it doesn’t matter if your clinican at NHS waiting for it and specifically asking for the damn result. WE DO THINGS TO MAKE IT HARD so we record everything onto our computer, print it out and send with a pigeon because why not? So the choice is yours as a customer: do you want this in your life along with the challenge what you already have othervise you wouldn’t be here?

For the most part, my experience with Care Fertility Northampton was a good one.The nurses made me feel really comfortable during the process. And with the egg retrieval itself, everybody was considerate and supportive. I received my results on the day when they said they would.Consequently, I plan to do a second round of egg freezing with them.However, as another reviewer has mentioned, the admin side of things could be improved.I thought the response to emails was sometimes quite slow. Sometimes, the information not being accurate.Moreover, one time I came in for an appointment to find that I hadn’t been booked. Luckily, I could get seen twenty minutes later, but it made me feel more anxious than I needed to feel.Lastly, the links to self-administering medication don’t always work. Luckily, I could find the videos on YouTube, but these things should be more easily accessible.

Even though communication and admin hasn't always been straightforward (difficult to reach by phone as often through to voicemail, no or slow responses to emails, delays in medication because of an admin fault, wasn't able to pay through the portal), the lovely staff during my treatment from the ward nurse to the anesthesia doctor and everyone around really made up for it, therefore a very easy 5 stars. Straight after the procedure I was informed of the results and the same afternoon I was informed of the freezing results. The lovely staff really made this a less stressful experience.

They care by both name and nature.I changed clinics after having both a failed fresh and frozen IVF cycle and CARE used this info to help shape my cycle with them.Online portal is so good to keep on track with everything and submit paperwork. Helps speed up the process etc.The support and medications I were advised were very well explained and tailored exactly to myself and my partners needs. I really appreciate the clinics’ expertise, and they were very vigilant in doing an early egg collection as they could see signs of OSS after only a few days of stimming.I only had one cycle with CARE, but it resulted in 10 blastocysts and one transferred resulting in my daughter born this March. I am so pleased with this clinic. My results were never as good at my prior clinic (3 blastocysts) and I am so thankful I will only need to go through frozen cycles if we choose to expand our family in the future.

Unfortunately due to the sensitive nature of treatment I do not feel comfortable leaving my name, however I will also be informing the clinic of my concerns. The treatment was undertaken at Care Fertility Northampton.I do not know what we were expecting, however an impersonalised and fast rolling service is not what we had in mind. I felt as if I was just another statistic to the clinic. We were an older couple so therefore statistically we had a lower chance of conceiving. I felt this played a major factor in the way our treatment was undertaken. This may not be the clinic for older persons wanting to be parents.Phone calls took a long time to be answered although I give them credit they did return the calls on the day. I felt I was on a conveyor belt. There was no time for discussion. No emotional support from staff and no time to feel nervous. The saddest part was as someone who had the condition vaginismus, this was totally ignored and invasive examinations were undertaken without any pain relief or time to relax. Just another person on the conveyor belt.
