Ordered from their website thinking I’d choose a local supplier and it would be quick and easy. It was the opposite. I didn’t really order local at all, they’re part of CPL, a hopeless distribution company. Ordered on a Thursday, following Tuesday still no sign of coal, phoned Wednesday to ask if I could collect instead to be told their commitment was 7 working days, that my coal was actually coming from another supplier miles away and not the one I thought I’d ordered from, and that it was currently taking longer than 7 days due to the snow. The snow went over a week ago! Never ordering from them again.

Dave it seems has retired, This is now Coals2u, run by CPL distribution, Dave and his team knew my order, knew what to do, but he and his lovely wife have retired to pastures new. Good Luck Dave. Unfortunately, I ordered med december online, delivery day was rescheduled twice, I did however manage to get Some coal for Xmas....But I ordered 2 50k bags of doubles 2 of trebles and 2 of multiheat ovals, I got delivered 4 bags of smokeless coal, no ovals, and I cannot light the bloomin stuff!! I'm using half a box of firelighters and loads of kindling, and I barely get a flame. I know that transition is difficult, but surely if you are a Big company you have enough staff to get a simple small order right? We had really cold snaps all over Xmas, and our coal fire just wasnt putting out any heat, we had to have hot water bottles in the lounge. I have phoned CPL customer services, and they have said that someone will call me back. I will keep you updated! UPDATE. Coal was actually anthracite, which they first denied, I sent pics, they agreed it was, I was without my fire all over the Christmas period, it took weeks to sort out, there was no apology, no one tried to put it right, i had to keep emailing them over and over just to get what I'd asked for in the November, finally sorted end of january!!

I ordered 4 bags of premium Phurnacite on 20/11/17. It is now the 4/12/17, over 2 weeks later and I still have no coal! Several calls to the depot, waiting in for deliveries that don't arrive and now told that refund will take 7 more days! They will have had my money for 3 weeks! No fuel, no real apology, no service. I have used them before, but will never use them again!

the fuel wasn't delivered. I called two working days later and they had rescheduled it without letting me know for a day when I wasn't available. I have asked for a delivery next week first thing before I go to work. Fingers crossed! (The following day) I have just received a call from them confirming that they will deliver the coal on the day that I had specified I was not available. They seem unaware of the conversation that I had yesterday and stipulated that they give 24 hours notice. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to just not turn up at work and sit in for a day waiting for a cola delivery that doesn't materialise. I have cancelled my order and am now awaiting a refund. There was no apology. Apparently the refunds take up to 5 working days to come back into the customers account so I will need to remember to check that its been received
