I contacted SD Forbes about a probate valuation.The director that I spoke to on the phone and then corresponded with by email was professional throughout and responded to my requests for information promptly and clearly. Unlike some of the others I contacted requesting this service, he asked all the pertinent questions at the outset.Although I decided to go with another surveyor on this occasion, based on the interactions I had with SD Forbes, I would be happy to recommend them.

At first when their letter appeared in the post I took no notice but in a calmer moment I re-read it then gave them a ring. I spoke to a very helpful knowledgeable person who explained all about having electricity poles on my land and my entitlement to payment for these. I filled in the form and sent it off. To my surprise some time later an offer arrived which I discussed with SDF and accepted, a few weeks latter a cheque arrived. SDF have been amazing in firstly identifying that I had electricity poles on my land and secondly seamlessly handling getting me payment. I can not fault their service, so refreshing these days, thank you.

We moved house last year and received a letter from Sherwill Drake Forbes informing us that we could receive a refund for SDLT. At the time I didn’t know anything about it and thought it wasn’t legitimate. But after researching I found it was and went ahead and signed the form for them to start the process.They worked on our case on our behalf and we hardly had to do anything other than sign and give them information regarding the sale for them to claim it for us. Within weeks we received our refund.. would highly recommend this company.

Instructed to handle complications over a compensation claim as a agricultural grantor in the midlands. Clear from the off that they didnt have the experience to handle what should have been relatively simple to reach a position on. My case was past to junior staff who I constantly had to chase for a response once instructed. Hidden fees awaited and threatening when I challenged there service. They are mentioned in a few articles online and I shouldnt have trusted those sites, Ive done a deal with the power line company directly and saved myself thousands in the process.

I received a letter from Victoria at this company not long after I moved in to my new property stating that as we had an annex with its own meters they may be able to get a part of the stamp duty back for me. Thinking I had nothing to lose but not much hope I said I would like them to try for me and a few months later another letter arrived with a cheque inside ! I can now have new front widows curtsy of Victoria & Sherwill Drake Forbes who I could not recommend more, no fuss, no lots of phone calls Etc. just an excellent service.
