Dreadful - avoid at all costs. Worst accountants I have experienced.I would give this company 0 if I could. They have completely ignored all my attempts to sort out problems that they have caused re Tax. If fact their tax advice was so appalling that I paid double the amount I should have paid in the last financial year. They will not fix another major error that they have made, or now return emails and send relevant information to me or my new accountants. I have used this company for over 20years. It used to be very good, but now they have no idea what they are doing. I am attempting to move to new accountants, who are still waiting for all my accounts to be moved over - 2 months after requesting Clearsky to do so. The list of errors these accountants have made is extensive. I could fill up pages with the details. Avoid.

I have been using Clearsky since June 2016, opening my first limited company and operating as a contractor. The service, particularly from Dean Lacey's team has been excellent. As a beginner I have needed to ask a lot of questions and required a lot of help and nothing has been too much trouble. If you need a comprehensive service that is a steady hand, particularly early on in your contracting, I would recommend paying for Clearsky even if you may be able to find cheaper services elsewhere.

Nice People, Absolutely Useless, do not talk to each other internally, they cannot even change my address, three times I have changed it in 5 weeks. Only to find out my address has not been changed when going through security questions, 4th time that I have called up. I have set up a company with them and they VAT registered the company to my old address. What a nightmare, if I could give them minus stars I would be you have to click at least one star to post a review.

I have used clearsky for many years, they are extremely proficient and friendly. After a bad spell from a different accountancy service, clearsky quickly and efficiently resolved a mountain of historic accountancy problems. Clearsky is more than just an accountancy service, they provide a complete solution to a busy business at a very reasonable price. They handle all aspects of what is required of the company, and are always one step ahead. I have complete trust in clearsky and would recommend them without hesitation for a complete and affordable accountancy service, that often goes above and beyond what is required.

Shark accountants with hidden costs and the support is non existent. Every time I tried them for advice on things I don't understand (like all their hidden fees) due to me not being an accountant they made me feel like I was hassling them. In hindsight I would NEVER have switched to them from Parasol. Review the market to compare costs on different accountants and packages and you will quickly see that ClearSky are one of the most expensive on the market. Expect a sickening, tear jerking leaving fee when you ask them to close down. Especially if you are a relatively junior member of staff like me. I would have been much better off and much less stressed by sticking to Umbrella contracting to be honest.AVOID AT ALL COSTS (with COSTS being the key word)

Excellent accounting and great communication. I have been using Clearsky since July 2015 and have been very pleased with the service they provide. The portal you utilise to add the information is clear and easy, submitting monthly accounts very straight forward and above all if there is anything you need from them in the way of advice, do not hesitate to contact them. Team 12, led by Michael Dalton were very efficient, straight forward and with minimal fuss. Unfortunately my contracting days have come to a halt and have had to secure permanent employment, if it wasn't for this, I'd still be using them and the excellent service you have come to expect for these accountants.

After significant problems with my company's previous accountants I changed to Clearsky on the recommendation of a colleague. As he had only just started to use Clearsky it was not a strong recommendation but he felt they were competitively priced, had made no mistakes and he had been able to speak to the person he needed to.Over the five years that Clearsky acted for my company - from systematically sorting out the mess created by my previous accountants through to closing the company on my retirement my experience was of solid, efficient and diligent service – resulting in this strong recommendation.At all times Clearsky were fully aware of the importance and urgency of each letter/deadline etc. enabling them to direct and prioritise their response accordingly. They knew exactly which letters from HMRC needed to be acted upon and, because of work that they were doing in the background, which letter didn’t need to be worried about . They would speak to HMRC immediately when necessary and quickly get an answer that, if you called, you’d probably not be able to obtain!I was always able to speak to my personal accountant whenever necessary - but obviously, to keep fees reasonable, purely routine and trivial questions were filtered by, and delegated to, his staff.Very importantly, all written communications/emails were consistently clear, concise and thorough yet, at the same time, friendly and polite.Of special note was the painstaking and methodical work carried out in the process of closing the company which resulted in several refunds from HMRC – more than one for obscure, historical reasons and which I knew nothing about. Clearsky knew everything about what was due and plodded away doggedly until it was correctly received.In short they worked persistently to get money back that I didn't know I was entitled to.

Paid to sort my contracting accounting for one year and couldn't even do that correctly; I still have HMRC tailing me now for debts that I had told were incorrect. I can't believe HMRC are incorrect. Avoid at all costs.

In the 12 months I have used Clearsky they have only managed to get my accounts accurate or delivered on time for approx 50% of the time! When you look at the overall cost vs service provided it would be far more cost effective to find yourself a good local accountant and save yourself some time and £. The shambles continues nearly 18 months later.... incorrect personal tax liability and no one bothering to respond to questions asked!

Used ClearSky in the first year of running as a Ltd Co. While they're not cheap, they helped me navigate the pitfalls of tax, VAT etc without worrying about any of it, so I could focus on running my business. Turnkey solution, backed up by friendly helpful people who are responsive and always happy to explain where needed.
